- Crew Members you have KNOWN at Terminal 7 by doors D/E to left of Security. Right of ticketing, left of security. You will see your own Security guy/gal at a podium.
- Use mobile boarding passes, use 2 carry ons. If you know your carry on is big or cabins are full, gate check it-- it's free! Running late for your flight? Tell them you're late, and cut to the front!
- Stephanie NordstromSeptember 30, 2011Don't arrive at the airport too early. It doesn't open till 4am and if you are cutting it close on time, most airlines will help you get through security so you don't miss your flight.
- Green line bus takes you right under the runway. If you are lucky you can have a flight land right above you!
- Matija DjumicDecember 16, 2012A safe place to spend a night at if you're having a huge layover and want to save money. No negative experience from this place.
- The traffic coming in can be really easy or crazy backed up! Use Waze or another traffic app and plan your drive accordingly.
- Terminal 1, Southwest, is now looking good! Lots of new eating options too!
- Purchase a membership with Clear for expedited access. So worth it.
- If you're flying American and have status, skip the crowd and head to the American Premiere entrance.
- Check out encounters if you have a layover. Have family/friends wait at in & out, especially if you're coming into bradlee, long lines & no signal during immigration.
- Kyunghun ChoDecember 17, 2013DUTY FREE Store has moved inside. Restaurants also too. There is iStore without TAX!
- Probably one of the most disorganized airports in the western hemisphere. Get in and out as quickly as you can!
- Heather HollidayFebruary 13, 2014Get here early!!! It's a very busy airport so you are going to need extra time.
- Charlie Atherley-WilsonMay 26, 2013When picking up someone park in the Taco Bell parking lot until you get their call from Baggage claim to avoid have to circle around the airport!
- K. GilDecember 17, 2014Got here at 6:30 am and the lines at United were long. Very busy but it took less than 15 minutes to go through. TSA lines were very short and took 5 minutes to go through.
- Honestly, security here goes much faster than it does where I come from. No complaints from me !
- JstneyApril 6, 2014Korean air doesn't do combined luggage weight so make sure you maximize each luggage weight of 25 kilos
- If ever you have the choice, fly in and out of Burbank instead
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)April 11, 2017[PIC] Advisory: Delta moving May 12 from T5 to T2/T3. Other airlines swapping terminals too. Contact your airline. #LAXontheMOVE c: BT
- TSA Security is really means to work here, even shoes, belt, jacket have to remove and place into a tray
- Please move away from the xray to put on your shoes & belt. That way others can clear the area too! Thanks.
- Shani BMarch 13, 2019Register for Global Entry! You get TSA-pre check and easy lines when returning through US Customs and Immigration
- Terminal 4 has scarce charging areas, one sit-down restaurant, overall, not the best terminal for a long layover. At least there is a Starbucks. I recommend getting a day pass to the Admiral's Club.
- Don't wear a belt, come barefoot and buy your clothes when you arrive at your final destination. Saves time during check in, boarding and debarking.
- If you arrive during rush hour and didn't check a bag, have your ride pick you up at 'Departing' to beat the crumpness. Enjoy.
- If you are flying United, you should join TSA's precheck program first. Allows you to breeze through security as you don't have to remove your shoes, laptop or liquids. Amazing!
- James AstonOctober 3, 2019Not much is good here. I here flew from Changi Airport Singapore rated by many as the best airport in the world. I’d expect LAX to be rated in the lower half. It’s poorly designed and managed.
- Things are really spread out. If you see a place to eat, don't pass it up.
- Ermias BizuworkFebruary 21, 2013When flying from LAX make sure you take a dump before getting to the airport. The toilet water is so high you most definitely will get the splashers.
- David DerrickMay 29, 2014There is absolutely nothing to do in the international terminal. So...walk back outside to terminal 4...go to the lowest level...find The only 'nice' place to wait for a few hours...Starbucks!
- Maxim PodbereznyyApril 6, 2012If you return a rental car then use a shuttle bus to get to LAX. The bus will bring you right to the necessary airline company and you will not have to wonder around this huge airport.
- Jo LinAugust 24, 2014LAX now offers free WiFi. However I constantly have to reset my phone to clear out setting so I can be reconnected. The Tom Bradley terminal has been renovated and it's clearly an upgraded experience
- K ZiggyJanuary 12, 2012The best taxi service is laxtransport.com to get to the airport. They are on time and their website reservation super helpful.
- If you're based in LA and travel Internationally 2 or more times a year-- sign up for Global Entry and save HOuRS in immigration when you return to the US
www.globalentry.gov - Write down where you parked and remember arrivals and departures are on two different levels... Not a fun place to get lost after a long flight
- At the Tom Bradley international terminal (B) there is only 1 small bar after you go through security so if you're looking for food or drink, get it in the main public area.
- Jayme JohnsonAugust 7, 2015The best part of this airport is leaving it behind. Horrible floor plans, rude TSA, not enough seating, people laying in the hallways and sprawled across the floors, and not enough restaurants.
- ZaneNovember 18, 2012If you carry any toys in your bag, try to refrain from brining foam nerf bullets. I had a few in my bag the security pulled me over to the side and asked if i had ammo and replied "yes but just foam"
- Zachariah CooneySeptember 29, 2014Have the person wait on curb while the driver waits in cell phone parking lot or in the center where the restaurant is
- Jason CareySeptember 29, 2017Avoid this place if you can, the queues for immigration are so bad it took almost 2 hours just to disembark and join my connecting flight. I will do my best to never go through this airport again
- Jenn MicheleSeptember 25, 2018PSA: no one else wants to listen to your phone/computer. Use headphones. Don’t be an asshole.
- Esteban RaposoMarch 26, 2015They opened a coffee bean and tea leaf in the arrivals area at Tom Bradley. Much better than the other place that was there before.
- Once you leave the secure area it's a ghost town by baggage claim. No stores, not even a vending machine. Lovely how they unload all priority tagged bags last.
- The new Tom Bradley is very nice, except bad ventilation from the restaurants. I dislike having food smell on my clothes especially when I did not dine at such location.
- Ivan ZimnukhovNovember 8, 2013Has free wifi(unlike JFK) and 24-hour coffee shops(unlike SMF). TSA and lines same as everywhere. No reason to bitch imo.
- It is much faster to walk from T2 to T3 than it is to take the shuttle.
- SkyMallMarch 10, 2011Nothings more comforting than the Butternut Squash Soup at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant by gate 70 in LAX. If your still hungry, we recommend the Barbequed Chicken Pizza from their hearth-style oven.
