- Whether you go to pick up someone or see someone off, drive up the Departures and park in Parking 3/4. People drop off and leave so the route is not crowded compared to arrivals. Just take elevator do
- If you are flying domestic, have just a carry on and already have your boarding pass, getting here an hour and 15 mins before take off is just about right during off peak times.
- Parking in Economy Lot C? Give yourself some extra time and prepare for a jam packed ride on the shuttle bus. Central terminal parking is expensive ($30/day), but oh so convenient.
- There are lots of food options in the international hall. Don't forget to buy candy for people back home.
- If you are picking somone up after 8pm, have them come up to the Departure level. It won't be as busy since many flights arrive after 8 pm.
- Total chaos if you're picking up someone or being dropped off. Security isn't as tight as it is in other airports. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
- The Blonde GypsyMarch 16, 2013This isn't a tip, it's a statement - Terminal 4 is where you will find HOMEBOY Bakery. Pretty much the raddest bakery name I've ever encountered. That is all, have a nice flight.
- Star Alliance Lounge is the second best after Istanbul! Very modern airport. Nice to come back.

- If in Terminal3 (virgin america) stop by gladstone's for the catch of the day. Todays special - Mahi Mahi in Ponzu sauce wrapped in Banana leaves! Awesome!

- It's an Airport. Security is strict so no messing around guys!. Good selection of places to eat, decent sized gate waiting areas and nice lounges if you're that lucky.
- Johnny at the first security check point for USAir and Southwest is the best. Ask him about his golf game.
- DoubleTree by HiltonAugust 7, 2013Come by to visit the El Segundo Museum of Art. With only 2,000 square feet of exhibit space, they showcase art works from all over the globe.
- Klatch Coffee in UAL terminal is CLUTCH with best espresso in any domestic airport. Great service too.

- The newish LAX-it (LA exit) way of getting to the rideshare pickup seems painful but isn’t bad. Better than the mess it was before.
- You can easily spend your entire layover in line for a latte. You're better off just hitting one of the expensive bars for a morning drink. If it has OJ, it's a breakfast food.

- If landing here close to 5, choose your immigration line wisely, shift changes happen at 5 and it is anything but seamless. You think this is something they would have figured by now.
- Try out your digital boarding passes here, you can check in and board all from your phone. The good restaurants are at the international terminal. If ur going to Vegas fly Southwest.
- United has a Marmalade Cafe, a Kitson & a Coffee Bean. It's like "Little LA", but no traffic, panhandlers, or effing Umami Burgers. #onlythegoodstuff
- Everything about the domestic terminals suck here. I travel a lot but it's embarrassing that this is the airport where I live
- If flying virgin, upgrade your seat while checking in. $55 for main cabin select (free food, booze!!!, and movies and you skip security lines) when flying to Seattle. worth it.

- Jeffrey VolosinFebruary 28, 2015Best airport ever and so close to el Segundo! It's great. I like hearing the airplanes at night.
- If you're coming back internationally, expect to spend 2 hours clearing customs and checking bags back in... Not to mention possibly changing terminals. Make sure you have the extra layover time!
- Rated one of the most dangerous airports in America. In dire need of updated which they are thankfully. Still is our doorway to the world.
- Pro Tip: After you come through security, collect your things and reassemble yourself at the nearby benches. Keep the flow going.
- Make sure you give yourself some time on Delta because they have two terminals and have to take a bus between.

- Make sure you get here 2 hours early for your flight. Security takes 15 minutes when you are early and over an hour when you are pressed for time.
