- It never fails, it would seem Iron Man is in front of me at the security check point. Took this guy 6 time to make it through Dude, yes you have to take off your shoes. You don't know this by now.

- TeamTRI says If you're driving into LAX around Gate 1 and need to get to Gate 6 or 7 use the cut across rather than drive the whole horseshoe. Saves time and hassle and is usually not crowded.
- Terminal 2 is nice and fresh and offers many options for food and shopping.

- If you're headed to Santa Monica or Venice, take the Lot C bus to the LAX Transit Center and ride the Big Blue Bus #3 north. Takes longer than a taxi, but you can spend the money you save at In-N-Out.
- First time flying Virgin, how fitting ;). Love it! So easy, staff is really cool. Love their company culture & excellent prices. I'll forgive them for playing Adam Lambert at the ticketing desk...
- If you are going to South Bay by taxi be prepared for the angry taxi driver who wants the big fairs not the $20flat rate to the beach. Rumor is there is a airport shuttle to the green line station

- Make sure you plan enough time when you are in transit! In Terminal 5, I took a walk in the most dreadful empty corridor (which seemed to be a 30 min walk), to get to the baggage claim. 🚶

- Southwest terminal was never a great place to wait, but it's worse now with construction. If you have time to kill, do it before going thru security.
- Check out Encounter - This restaurant is inside the "futuristic" Jetsons-looking structure in the middle of LAX. The experience is complete with 60's Star Trek-esque tunes in the elevator ride up!
- Terminal 3 expansions and refresh of Terminal 4 are a huge improvement that make LAX an airport ready for the future.
- Book a local transport shuttle via shuttletolax.com for $20 flat fee and excellent customer service. This is the cheapest lax transport.

- LAX Terminal 6 has the most power outlets you will find in any North American airport. It's also incredibly loud so don't plan on too many productive business calls.
- If you're picking someone up, park in the central lot rather than trying to fight the traffic. It doesn't cost much and will save you a huge headache.
