Whatever your travel time to LAX, add another :20 to get to the actual terminal once on the roadway. Traffic is as bad in the airport as outside. Also if you a frequent traveler get CLEAR. Its GOLD.
For Backpackers: Go Airport or Super Shuttle are available outside at the curb for a cheap ride. USA Hostels Hollywood is a brilliant stay for a great price and atmo and perfect location

If you have a Priority Pass, it’s worth calling them and asking if they accept it - on Sunday, I’ve walked to every lounge that was on the list and I was turned down in every terminal.
The lemonades in terminal 5 (delta) is hands down the best restaurant at the airport. When you land at Tom Bradley Terminal on a layover, after you cleared customs, go right back in to cross security. It's much faster than walking outside.

I usually fly Delta, and the Delta terminals are undergoing renovations. This airport is always crazy busy with inadequate seating and restrooms. If you can, fly American Airlines. Relatively a breeze checking in and somewhat organized. As for LAX, what can I say, they're a work in progress 😎
If you can Avoid Driving to LAX choose Road Runner Shuttle they go from LAX-Long Beach Burbank etc... They have really good Prices, are On time and Professional also dress the part (805)-389-8196
If the arrivals area is super busy when you're going to pick someone up, it's usually faster and easier to have the person meet you at the departures area instead! Melissa BrennerAugust 17, 2012Always super busy. Luckily there are outlets around the waiting areas of the terminals in case you need to charge your phone. Try food at a place you've never heard of, some of it is good
But e-tickets get in and out ASAP bring print out of confirmation and keep on pushing yikes pay for luggage one time online and save that money so you can focus on other things

Plenty of food options and coffee. Airport is under construction in some areas but it’s pretty efficient. Many flight options too!
Taking a red eye? Buy one of these sleepy neck pillows at the gift shop. Well worth the $15. But don't pull the tag off or the little inside beads will fall out :(
Vegetarian & on a budget in Terminal 7? The best deal would be Carl's Jr/Green Burrito - a cheese quesadilla with beans is $3.49 plus tax #traveldeals
If you're flying southwest biz. You can get extra drink tix by checking in (u get a drink ticket) then change your flight (get another drink ticket) rinse and repeat as much as you want ;)
ℳ𝒶𝓎♍December 14, 2019LAX is a gigantic airport and the hub of SoCal. No matter what day and time it's jam packed. Getting from one terminal to another can be a real pain in the a**; keep in mind to allocate plenty of time
Learn the streets within the airport. If you're trying to get out of the airport from terminal one and go all the way around, you're missing a great shortcut!
Rayne DeReonMay 15, 2014Free WiFi, not much seating in the holding area at gates 61 & 63, make sure to come early to this gate if you care to sit comfortably.
All the outlets on those Samsung charging stations occupied? Not to fret -- there are power outlets to be found at LAX. Just gotta keep your eyes open. Tip: bring a power strip and share an outlet.
Make sure u budget extra time for arriving to your terminal. Google maps only calculates the time to get to the airport itself.

Look for the underground train. It takes you from terminal to terminal with out having to go out side. They have golf carts down there moving people and bags around.
On a busy night it can take an hour to drive once around World Way so don't warn your friend who is picking you up because you might lose your ride.

KAL lounge wi-fi doesn't require a password. Was able to access it near Starbucks on ground floor

Joshua Herzig-MarxNovember 18, 2016Terminal 3 is terrible: small, crowded, insufficient security stations, long lines, few amenities, and in desperate need of a revamp. But the dog walk area is a nice treat to get outside in the AM.
