- If you have to take a cab anywhere within a 10 minute drive or less of LAX, you can fully expect your cab driver to be very unpleasant to you.
- Do not get sidelined by the timeshare people trying to “help” you. Head all the way outside for shuttles and taxis.
- If you're departing during the busy holiday season, drop off at Arrivals and take the escalator up.
- If you're going to fly with your child, make sure you teach them to be quiet first. Some of us would like to blog and do work in silence.
- Always a good idea to take a photo of your luggage before leaving with with TSA and checking it in.
- Pick up people on july 4th. The cops are all, finally, somewhere else, doing useful police work. I have been parked for ten minutes in front of gates!
- Be sure to run for the security que because it may already be long enough to miss your flight.
- Marco TillmannJanuary 14, 2013International Terminal offers little shopping past security. Buy stuff before entering. No Post-office anywhere !! No connection between terminals. Have to exit when transferring from International.
- Thursday night flight on Virgin Atlantic is the way to go for Heathrow - almost never fully booked
- Get food at Lemonade! Much tastier and healthier than other airport food.
- Things are really spread out. If you see a place to eat, don't pass it up.
- This airport continues to exist despite its unsightly appearance and it's overall obsolescence. Customer Service, technology and restroom facilities...they are simply inadequate! Fly Burbank!

- TSA pre check avail here. Don't take off your shoes off, laptop out, jacket off - and get your own dedicated lane!
- The only thing "good" about LAX is the location, but the traffic is horrible, the wait times on or off the plane are much longer than other airports. Light rail and expansion are decades overdue.

- Check out encounters if you have a layover. Have family/friends wait at in & out, especially if you're coming into bradlee, long lines & no signal during immigration.
- Make sure to arrive at least 1 and a half hours early to get through security.

- KrystieOctober 19, 2012If your arriving at the airport on or after 10pm - leave 20 min early or do NOT take 105 to the airport. Construction has traffic backed up into one lane at the airport exit off 105!
- If you have a few hours layover, check your bags then head to a nearby beach and grab some decent food.
