Demeter InteractiveJune 13, 2012If you're flying out of Terminal 1 but want to say goodbye or have breakfast before passing thru security, it's a 2 minute walk to the secret @Starbucks in the baggage claim area of Terminal 2.
Stand as close to the baggage carousel as you can. Make sure no one else has a view of what's going on...

Ignore the haters, this is the best airport EVAR! LAX is the melting pot of the world... National airlines of countries you didn't even know exist!
Free wifi is fine and security from early international flights that get here before 6 is a walk.
Don’t park here. Lyft in and out. Oh, you can also stop at In N Out while on your way to or from.

There are underground tunnels that will get you to baggage claim and/or outside faster than walking through the terminals. Look for the escalators!
There should be a Starbucks before immigration :) make the wait worth it

Charles HoffmeyerFebruary 22, 2017It was a nightmare getting in/out of here. Rental cars are offsite via shuttles. Long walk between terminals via hot underground tunnels. Hope I never have to come into LAX again!

Madhuri GuptaOctober 29, 2013Shuttles pass btw moving planes like it is regular traffic .. to go frm one terminal to another I had to step out and redo security. Old lady trips at the bottom of escalator and humans pile up!
For Terminal 4-American Airlines First Class/EXP check in, drop off is the door closest to the International Terminal (or by Qantas check-in area). This is to avoid having to fight the crowd inside T4

Dëva HolikOctober 27, 2014Parking can be a pain. Valet is off site. Most terminals need updating. International terminal is almost complete and delta has had a make over. American is working on theirs.
Architecture and artwork are being brought to the forefront as they remodel.- Delta Sky Club has views , good food & great people watching!!
Charge your batteries... you'll find Jimmy Hoffa before you'll find an outlet. Random power towers that are awkward and miserable to share.
Stephanie NordstromSeptember 30, 2011Don't arrive at the airport too early. It doesn't open till 4am and if you are cutting it close on time, most airlines will help you get through security so you don't miss your flight.

Don't hold up the security line - if you're wearing complicated shoes, there are tons of benches right after security where you can do them up
Parking in Economy Lot C? Give yourself some extra time and prepare for a jam packed ride on the shuttle bus. Central terminal parking is expensive ($30/day), but oh so convenient.

For tourists staying in Santa Monica, save some cash and take the lot C LAX bus to connect to the $1 Big Blue Bus
If flying Virgin America, pop for the Loft. Heaven can be found in an airport.

The bed was like sleeping on sail cloth on top of 1/8" plywood on top of old truck leaf springs. F this place

LAX FTW!- If you are flying United, you should join TSA's pre-check program first. It allows you to go through security without removing shoes, laptop or liquids. Was a breeze!
If you're coming in from an international flight in terminal 2, there's a starbucks and a currency exchange booth right next to each other!
