    My favorite place. Been going for years. Best ever chicken w/ salsa verde & always order the gnocchi. Great atmosphere!

    The atmosphere is great on a warm summers evening when they open the restaurant up! Foods great - recommend the swordfish with artichokes. The linguinetti was also lovely.

    Per Frank Bruni: a seasonal salad as an appetizer (go for the shaved brussels sprouts!), the roasted chicken as entree.

    Food is absolutely delicious, but it's expensive, especially since the entrees come with no side. I ordered fish with fennel, but I'm still looking for the fennel. If you see something, say something!

    JW Chicken is tremendous. It's the same roast chicken your mother made, but absolutely perfect and bursting with flavor.

    The fiddlehead bruschetta is made by angels. Main portions are large, so it's better to share a few plates.

    Portion size was inconsistent - the chicken and the bolognese are huge while the squid ink pasta dish is tiny. Gnocchi was not fluffy and light. I expected better.

    Chef/owner Jonathan Waxman started his career at Chez Panisse. Get the Pollo al Forno or the Pizza Cavolo (lunch only for pizzas).

    Not my favorite kind of place (more posh than food) but fun when it's nice out to hang out in the hood. Split a salad and the chicken. Potatoes looked good. Pasta was overwhelming.

    The interior decor was underwhelming & reminded me of an old factory. The chicken didn't stand out to me as the inside was dry despite a very flavorful skin. Gnocchi & kale salad were pretty good.
