Look at the ceiling in the Main Concourse. A single dark patch remains above the Michael Jordan Steakhouse, left untouched by renovators to remind visitors of the grime that once covered the ceiling.

New double outlets at each seat in some of these newer cars are really nice. Good to charge one's phone coming home from the city.
The food court here is excellent. Many choices and cuisines.
Don't forget to look up! Also, find the Campbell Apartment for a great drink spot.

Try and find the dent in the ceiling from the missile they had here in the 50's
Should be on every list for things to see in NYC. My personal favorite!
The Beverage Bar over by the Times Square shuttle passage is the last shop to close (2am). Go there to get that last beer on the commuter train home!

There's a few places to sit in the dining concourse. But those areas can sometimes be closed off.

Charnette SotoMay 28, 2012Back in the 1940's, the sunlight would stream in through the Grand Concourse. The buildings around the concourse block the light, however.

Don't wait until the holiday weekend (or summer fridays) to buy your ticket! Stop by a day or two before and you'll avoid the long lines.
There are no power outlets in all of Grand Central Station, but you can plug your phone into a display model dock at the Apple Store.
