- If you walk through the mid section there are stairs that lead to an awesome rooftop also open to the public. So peaceful up here.
- Sean MillerMarch 10, 2011If you have some extra time, and you like cupcakes, don't go to Magnolia. Go to Lily O'Brien's on 40th btw 5th & 6th for the best cupcakes in NYC (made by the Robicellis). It's worth the (short) hike.

- Do not miss the last train! The building closes for a few hours every night, 1:50 am or 6:00 am, your choice!!
- Historic. Bring your camera and shoot the ceiling. Great for die hard history buffs. FDR used to have a personal railroad under the station.
- If you're taking the Metro-North Hudson line, sit on the left side of the train out of GCT for the best views of the Hudson River
- Grab your beers from rite aid they are a lot cheaper. Don't let the line fool you it moves very fast.

- PeterFebruary 20, 2015Pershing Square Cafe is often overlooked, on Park and 42nd right across from GCT!
- Grand Central Terminal is a timeless treasure in NYC. You are transported back to the glory days of train travel.
- Beaux-Arts architecture; historic rail gateway to New York City; largest train station in the world by number of platforms
- The archway on the ramp between ground floor and free first basement forms a natural acoustic effect. Stand on one corner and have your friend stand in the other then whisper to each other.
- Impressive as it is, GCT is small compared to the original Penn Station, the grandest train station ever built, destroyed by developers in the 60's. Thank Jackie O & civic minded NYers for saving GCT!
- Peak hour during the afternoon rush hour is from 4-8pm so make sure you have an 'On Peak' ticket, if not you will have to pay the difference on the train.

- BEST BEER HALL IN NYC just one stop away on the 7 train to the vernon/Jackson stop in LIC - @AlewifeNYC
- Look up at the ceiling. A dichotomy between the vastness and space of the ceiling and standing in a massive ocean of people.
- Kitt HodJuly 17, 2018Go on an architectural tour if you have time, so much rich history with the Terminal.

- City of New YorkDecember 26, 2012In 1941, thousands of Brooklyn Dodger fans gathered in Grand Central to celebrate the team’s first National League pennant in 21 years.
