Follow them on Twitter to see reservation cancellations. They usually put how many they can seat at a table and for what time then encourage walk-ins at the bar.

Mario Battali is a great Italian chef, but he loves American prosciutto. Babbo serves prosciutto from La Quercia, a producer based in Iowa. Try cooking with the meat with JUST MARRIED AND COOKING. Read more

Congratulations, you made it in to one of the best Italian spots in the city. I love the Pappardelle Bolognese and tend to skip the Lamb's brain. Love you Mario!

Must visit spot, although it's impossible to get a res -- you have to call at 10am exactly one month out from the day you want to go, and reservations are gone within minutes.
