    Did you know that Royal Navy ships that enter the Port of London must still provide the Constable of the Tower of London with a barrel of rum? I wish I was him, I bet he'd be drunk most of his life. Read more

    Take the Yeoman Warders tour. Very funny and informative! But first of all, get there early and head off to the crown jewels. Lines can get pretty big.

    You may buy ticket from Big Bus guys and save some money. You don't have to buy the bus ticket for that.

    try and get there around 8:45am. they unlock the gates at 9. the lines are short so go straight to the crown jewels & then the white tower. then you can take it slow otherwise lines can be 1.5h long.

    The Armouries at the Tower of London received the first visitor in 1489 but it was by invitation only, the first recorded paying visitor to the Armouries was in 1545 to see the White Tower.
