Mobile check in is awesome on the iPhone (aircanada) but be aware that your gate # doesn't show up on your eticket. You need to consult the display boards to see where you're leaving from!

Messed with the exit, took a route through their office and I ended up outside without my luggage. I had to manage a security officer to sneak into the luggage area from outside. It's a messy maze.

Be sure to allow plenty of time between connections. Supposedly US budget cuts mean fewer resources and way longer lines

If you are going to the U.S. and don't have GOES/Nexus, plan on arriving at least 2 hours early. The US Customs preclearance takes at least an hour of queuing to go through.

Literally one of the most expensive airports in the world for planes to land at and as a result, those costs are passed down to you. This airport is almost guaranteed to have the most expensive flight

If you're catching a taxi, pick your lines wisely. Walk down the arrivals sidewalk outside and pick the shortest line. For some reason everyone converges at one place!

All alcohol for sale is extremely overpriced. However, there is a liter of wine for sale for $11 (yea, these commies use the metric system here). Try to find it and save yourself some money.

For international flights, it's safest to lie about your departure time to ensure you make it through customs with time to spare.
