- Nathan WrightSeptember 24, 2017Pippin's is a great little dive bar with no-nonsense (but helpful and attentive) service. A great place to stop in for a cold beer and quick bite if you're exploring downtown Chicago.
- My favorite downtown dive! This place has a great mix of people from all over. The Drinks are strong and the staff is great! Just please...don't play Don't Stop Believing on the jukebox....
- Affordable cozy bar. Great spot for after work drinks. Lots of regulars. Open till 4am week nights and 5am on the weekends!
- Steven BellAugust 29, 2016About as Irish as a bar in London.tasty local beers.but big foamy heads equals small pints..Guinness pints being pulled did not look good. staff not overly friendly.. One beer done me and moved on.
- John AmundsenAugust 3, 2011Cozy lil bar in Streeterville where you can order hot dogs, polish, burgers, etc., from Downtown Dogs next door. One of my favorite places for lunch by the office.
- Pippin's is the place to be for a true Chicago tavern experience. Very diverse clientele due to location. I have loved Pippin's since I first walked in in 1988.
- Between the stuffy, overpayed crowd in the neighborhood there is this great little bar to let loose and enjoy yourself.
- Megan HurtAugust 25, 2019Fries!! And cheeseburger. Our waitress brought us another plate of fries after she served the first ones because she said they weren’t warm enough. Needless to say, I did not mind at all.
- Brandy RobisonAugust 21, 2012Best bar in Chicago so far! Reminds me of the pub in Indy! Great staff, great specials!
- Craig BrasingtonFebruary 12, 2012This place is Chicago! Great bartenders, friendly patrons, great selection and a classic Chicago Irish Pub!
- Niki FornerMarch 25, 2012Great drinks and good music. Nice place to watch a game or watch people. Both equally entertaining.
- Curtis HillerMarch 5, 2017Nice bartenders. It's a dive but the clientele Saturday afternoon was fun.
- Chicago fave b/c of diverse clientele-students, intn'l flight crews, construction workers, millionaires neighbors, tourists-be warned it's a joint- your stool likely to wobble, service inconsistent
- Laura BergersenMay 19, 2012It's one of my favorite places by Loyola. And they serve Chicago Dogs from place next door.
- Evan[Bu]November 18, 2011A bar crawl on Rush Street is not complete without a trip to Pippin's. Great music, great food, and great drinks! Enjoy!
- Taylor FriehlMay 28, 2013Ignore the rude guy that checks IDs at the front door, he'd rather be somewhere else. Made up for by the great service from our waitress. Get sweet potato fries.
- Martyn HFebruary 1, 2012Try the Hamms. It's $2 of liquified glory. Feels like you made out with a babbling brook.
- A taste of old school authentic Chicago, in the most commercial area dt... See what the old neighborhoods feel like, for real Chicagoans
- Ask for jimmy the bartender. He knows how to take care of valued customers.
- Sarah is the flyest chick on the scene. Ask where her section is. Straight up Louisiana
- Fer TFebruary 12, 2013Was very expensive for 2 beers one 8 n the other 4 very small brandy glasses if I want to spend money I go to the night clubs
- Craig StarkOctober 13, 2012Martha rocks! Best bar in downtown Chicago. Dive bar one block of the miracle mile. Does it get any better?
- Kathryn FreemanSeptember 26, 2012Oh we used to like pippins. However, they have a very rude staff on nights early in the week. It was worth going even though the bar smells like dirty dirty outhouse until the service also declined.
- Mike McCarthyFebruary 18, 2011Devin is a great dude, Sox fan, Bears fan and Bulls fan. Can't ask for much more than that.
- Dan. MastrettaFebruary 16, 2012If you come from abroad, bringing your passport is the only way to get in, they won't accept other foreign IDs and it's understandable.
- Dan. MastrettaJanuary 18, 2012The place is great, just beware If you are foreign you will need your passport, no other ID permitted for us.
- Ashley VApril 21, 2013They are like the only place in this town with Sam Adams Seasonal. Mad props!!!
- pamela gormanJuly 6, 2011Do not, under any circumstances, allow a waitress to take your card. You may never see her again and you will be trapped in oh-crap-she-has-my-card-I-can't-leave hell.
