The Stag's Leap cabernet in the United lounge is (almost) worth the $15 upcharge - delicious.

Terminal C has a way better TSA check in system than Terminal B. TSA pre check is hardly worth in Terminal B.

In Terminal C, the Premier Access line is only slightly faster, so if you have the chutzpah, just sneak around to the Global Services line just to the right of the Premier entrance

I prefer P4 parking, 1st level always available early Monday morning (although always says full you will get a spot) and closest to terminal C

If you're stuck waiting outside of security, there's an okay food court at Terminal B where all the wall sockets have built in USB ports to keep your phone juiced up.

Even developing countries like Brazil have more modern airports & airlines than Newark Intl. Airpot & Jet Blue Airlines old planes with no outlets. Wake up!

They decide to clean the hoods of 90% of the restaurants at the same time, so good luck finding dinner if you are hungry at that time.

Newark is good alternative to JFK, smaller, less crowed and getting to and from the airport into the City will cost you the same. But (terminal B at least) is old, outdated and has no real facilities.

If you travel on a weekend and are flying United, arrive early. They close the main security gate, so you wait in a long twisty line at the secondary gate.

Without Global Entry, prepare to spend 1-2 hours in line at immigration/customs. Plan your connections accordingly. Ideally, allow at least three hours between your int'l arrival and your connection.

If you're flying united, check-in ahead of time and use an electronic boarding pass. If you have bags, you'll save so much time by going to the bag drop counter vs. the check in counter.
