- M.Y. G.August 14, 2017One of my favorite airports in the world. Something about it, makes me feel at home.
- The road to return your rental car is a bit of a maze within MIA airport. Be patient and follow the signs for return rental car and eventually you will get to it
- If you are flying American, sometimes it’s better to go through security at Checkpoint 4. Usually it’s less crowded than the other security lines
- Elise Gina DavisApril 8, 2014Pay attention to the announcements. Sometimes your gate will change at the last minute and you'll only know when you look and everyone is gone.
- Bring a coat and a pillow. This airport is super cold and there is a severe lack of chairs and walking space. This is my least favorite airport. The experience should be so much better than it is.
- If you're traveling from the Caribbean, the baggage claim will take a while. #Travel light.
- Mohammed AlamerSeptember 21, 2017"I really like this airport, service is really fast. You only need 5sec to get your boarding pass"!
- The Miami airport has been inefficient for a very long time - unless you are lucky with the lines, at this airport, it is very important to allow enough advance time to get passed security.
- Sushi maki serves breakfast. Also have a breakfast sandwich to go. Eggs, ham, cheese on whole wheat toast. A healthy option among the pastries.
- Turkish AirlinesOctober 24, 2015Turkish Airlines have launched flights to Miami! How about booking your next vacation to Istanbul with Europe’s Best Airline?
- At MIA's international-domestic transfer, customs leads to baggage dropoff, which leads to a new security checkpoint RIGHT THERE!#TSAInnovation?Inconceivable!
- For all you tourist make sure to visit the triangle in Opa Locka or go see the beautiful gardens in the city of Miami Gardens :)
- Tyler BurgettSeptember 29, 2013Not a bad place for a layover. Lots of good and shopping, hit up the touchscreen directories to find what suits your fancy.
- Lots of traffic. Long lines at immigration. Make sure you get in with 2 hrs to spare at times. Enough food places to keep you busy.
- Arzu CülcüloğluMay 15, 2013I liked the airport, they used arts for the decoration so it lookd pretty, soo big , signs are easy and fast
- Amanda LongMarch 5, 2014If you are not a US citizen give yourself multiple hours for a layover coming into the country. The line for passport control was absurdly long! I bet many of those folks missed their connections!
- sean drakeJune 8, 2012Heading to South Beach? Check out Chalk Ping Pong & Billiards Lounge. If you are headed to the Wynwood Arts District. Check out wood tavern.
- MohammedAugust 23, 2017I really like this airport, service is really fast. You only need 5sec to get your boarding pass
- Free WiFi and easier to park at than Fort Lauderdale. Great restaurants too!
- J. BonitaDecember 8, 2011Take the 150 bus from the airport.... takes you straight to south beach for only 2.35!! Better than paying 80 bucks for a taxi!! Thank me later LOL xoxo
- Do yourself a favor and sign up for a GOES Pass - You will always get TSA Pre and if flying abroad, upon your return you can avoid long lines at customs!
- Jason BaxterOctober 28, 2014If you're arriving on an international flight be prepared for a long hike to immigration. US citizens can ignore the form they give you in the plane...immigration a is all electronic now.
- Kenneth McKlinskiFebruary 15, 2023There is a shuttle train that takes you to baggage claim on the ground floor, though car service pick up is on the second floor.
- If you are in terminal D go to checkpoint 4 in terminal E it's less crowded and there is a hall back to terminal D, saved me some time.
- Carlos LoboAugust 26, 2012You gotta love Miami but you don't need to love this airport. It pretty rundown and janky. The shops & restaurants are weak too.
- KarlaJune 6, 2013Terminal D is fantastic. Lots of unique and tasty food options. Which is good because the AA Admirals Club leaves a little to be desired.
- Free WiFi for 30 min if you download an app on your phone. After 9 or 10pm you will not find any store to eat something on international terminals.
- If you have to fly AA and could not find any other way to get where you need to go (bike, swim, crawl), you should see Efrain for help when (not if) AA messes up your flight. He's very helpful!
- Mark WalpoleJuly 18, 2013Be prepared for a long hike to the taxi stand. There are several stands dotted around but only one is manned. If you go to unmanned stand the taxis will just shoot by.
- Islander bar and grill at D49 is the best for pre flight anti-jitters cocktail- even at 530am
- If you are visiting, be sure to leave very early for your return flight in the morning. There is traffic in every direction.
- Dave LepkowskiSeptember 17, 2018Have been thru this awesome and spectacular airport twice By The Way. Indeed
- Robert CohenFebruary 5, 2017If your a smoker/Vaper. Head to gate D36. Outdoor smoking area provided by TGI Friday!
- Please come three hours before your trip. With the COVID situation and all the paperwork it takes a long time.
- Dave CoppsJune 30, 2013The sushi at Sushi Maki (terminal D 27) is actually good. Fresh. Had a large boat. Would have been better for two. $33.
- Inflight Wi-Fi for $8,95 on the entire flight? Sounds great for me!! =)
- Jiajia JinJuly 2, 2014Seriously why can't New York have a gorgeous airport like this one. It would make my life on Monday mornings so much easier.
- Hanna AvlasOctober 5, 2018Too cold over here 😨 Outside is a hot summer, so you enter "airport's winter" in shorts and die freezing under ridiculously powerful air conditioning while praying for time of your flight to come 😒
- There are 2 gas stations RIGHT at the entrance of the return rental car road so you can save time and money by filling up literally right before you return your rental
- Some of the terminals are very rundown. Food options aren’t great either.
- Get ready for a healthy walk. Add 30 minutes to your plans. And forget about free WiFi
- David GrilliAugust 16, 2013The most comfortable place to sit and rest or sleep for free is the lobby of the hotel located in Concourse E
