    If you need to get an Uber from here, cheapest pickup location is at the tri rail. Follow the signs there and beat the system 👍

    La Carreta” it's a really nice place for sandwiches. Near to the gate D30 grab the Cuban a typical Florida's one. Also a bag of plateen sliced chips!!

    If you want beach and party, try to find hotel near to Lincon Road, very nice street!! And if you like shopping, the mall in Orlando are cheaper even than duty free ;)

    When leaving the car rental lot the concrete messes with the gps and everyone gets on the road and has to slow down or stop before the first intersection to wait for the satellites to catch up. :-)

    If you are cruising or leaving in the evening, the hotel by E concourse has a day rate from 10-6p. Worth every penny. Quiet, comfy beds, dark and chill.

    If traveling during American holidays give yourself at least 2 hours minimum, safer bet is 2.5 hours! American Airlines terminal is the best! So much variety you’ll never be bored!

    Check in at domestics flight is very fast! There aren't queues! Convenient and comfortable airport! Everyone may trying rom or tequila go free;)

    One of the best airports I’ve visited lots of good places to eat especially the Caribbean restaurant with the crab soup. Stay away from the empanada store food sucks

    If u are travelling internationally and u get a tsa pre check pass for ur connecting flight u might want to eye the line as the non pre check might be faster in this airport zoo...

    If you're flying out of Concourse D (and have time to kill) go to the end of the terminal btwn gates 1-24 for a fantastic selection of shopping & food. Ice Box Cafe is a MUST, especially the breakfast

    Entertain yourself on the moving walkway with a bouncy playground surface. You'll need it during the hike from the terminals to the rental car or metro rail building.

    Count on delays, hold ups and your having to move from furthest gate to another. If you have to transit (to go central and Latin American, many of you probably do) make sure to factor that time in

    If you have a visa waiver - go to the machines at the right hand side. You just need your passport and the machine recognised you. The queue there is much shorter!!

    Check prices from Fort Lauderdale if you're flying nationally, FLL is usually way cheaper!! And just 23 dolar share ride away (and the shared rides from there are allways almost empty!!)

    Landing at Terminal D especially with international flights, there is a lot of walking, lines, people, checkpoints, & security AGAIN (as if you went to some place in between your last airport and MIA)

    Sign up for TSA pre screening on your airline website. There is never a line, I don't have to take off shoes or remove the laptop. It saves me easily 20 minutes waiting in line for regular screening.

    AA’s PreCheck only lane always gets me through in under 10 minutes. Otherwise, concourse E is the fastest line. Avoid concourse D lines, they’re always the longest.

    When you get to baggage claim, go straight outside and grab a free Smartecart and save yourself 5 bucks. People that get taxis, Supershuttle, or picked up, leave them on the curb.

    If you're a divorce lawyer, you should DEFINITELY call your clients and pace the gate area while you yell into the phone that they've "given her too much already." It will be fun for everyone.

    Use a different airport if you can. The cellphone lot is hard to find, but handy. You can also park short term for cheap. SunPass works for parking.

    Arrive there on time! Is a very big airport. Depending the terminal you are in, shopping and restaurant options may be very limited (concourse F for example) eat before or come prepare for a tiny pizz

    Get to the airport early!!.. So you can take a break from your airport hike by stopping at La Carreta.. trust me, it'll be worth it!

    If you have a long layover, the #150 metrobus leaves from the airport and takes you to South Beach in 30 min. Leave extra time coming back in case there is traffic!!
