manyaJuly 2, 2010The chilaquiles, tamales and tuna ceviche at Mayahuel are quite tasty. They also have a wonderfully delicious cocktail menu. Definitely worth a stop either for dinner, cocktails or both.
Come for the cocktails, stay for the chilaquiles. They're a traditional Mexican hangover dish, often served at weddings if the party is still going at sunrise. Get them and preempt your hangover.

Huge selection of tequilas and I suggest the Change Agent if you're not a huge mezcal fan. This place brings back tequila's good name.

Best tequila drinks in the East Village. Order one or two and nurse them for hours. Pass on the food, though -- I've been disappointed more than once.

Even if you don't like tequila, you'll love the cocktails here. My personal favorite: FB cup - refreshing, not too sweet, and a bit of a kick.

KatieMarch 26, 2012unbelievable drink menu and delicious chicken mole tamales. everything was delicious. the staff is not very friendly, though.- The Oaxaca Old-Fashioned is a modern classic and rightly so. Reposado tequila, mezcal, agave nectar, and Angostura bitters.
