DoubleTree by HiltonAugust 7, 2013Come by to visit the El Segundo Museum of Art. With only 2,000 square feet of exhibit space, they showcase art works from all over the globe.
Uber and Lyft pickup is on the second floor — look for the signs and book early.
Whenever I fly out, I specifically wear my studded booty shorts and lots of massage oil all over my body to cause stress at TSA. Guaranteed enhanced pat down, if you enjoy that sort of thing! ;)
LAX is changing for the better but still has long way to go. I've never had too much of a wait for TSA or immigration/customs. The main problem is the traffic getting to it. Avoid T3 and T6.
For wifi choose LAX-WiFi and open in Safari. Make sure u budget extra time for arriving to your terminal. Allow yourself plenty of time due to traffic entering the airport so you are not to miss your flight!

Natalie WocheleOctober 6, 2014I've been through a number of airports and LAX is by far the worst...limited free Wifi and no outlets. If you have a connection make sure your phones/tablets/laptops are at full battery...or else...
All of the terminals have made big improvements for food/drink options and ambiance. Transportation is still a disaster. Grab and Uber or lyft from the departures level
Don’t expect to get anywhere fast. You need to take a shuttle bus (of varying frequencies) to get anywhere upon arrival… whether it’s rideshare, public transport, or rental cars. 👎
Great airport, easy to move through security quickly. Food is overpriced, but fairly efficient place to travel through.
If you have an early flight, 5am our earlier, the TSA preapproved section is not open.. You can show your boarding pass and not take off your shoes, but laptop/tablets have to come out. Now u know.

Auntie Anne’s Pretzels located in Southwest Airlines terminal. One of my favs…grab a pretzel with a side of cheese
My least favorite airport for international connections, up there with CDG for poor connecting experience, but without the reward of good amenities.
Make sure you plan enough time when you are in transit! In Terminal 5, I took a walk in the most dreadful empty corridor (which seemed to be a 30 min walk), to get to the baggage claim. 🚶

Sign up for Global Entry to help getting through customs and immigration faster. Well worth the $100 and valid for five years, especially if when going through the madness of arrivals at TBIT!
MuratMarch 30, 2015Very big, but passanger friendly airport, where the airlines shared the terminals, and this makes your life easy. However, not too much DutyFree or food court.
Plenty of food options and coffee. Airport is under construction in some areas but it’s pretty efficient. Many flight options too!
Ariel HermanJuly 9, 2017In true LA fashion, the traffic at the airport can be horrendous so budget that into your timing. Also the terminals here aren't connected so make sure you know which terminal your flight leaves from.
There are lounge chairs that are decent for napping near the 4th floor airline lounges in terminal 2. They're outside of the lounges so you don't need access to get to them.
