- JoyceDecember 3, 2022Been coming here since 2016 and it’s definitely changed to be more pricey and “American” without the unique German drinks and quirks. The service was good, but food and beer were meh.
- JPSeptember 30, 2015Great place to grab a drink, wide range of German beers. Perfect for Oktoberfest
- Matt FalconeApril 25, 2017Not too big but not too small. Great for groups looking to drink down a few liters.
- JoyceOctober 30, 2021Skip the schnitzel sandwich and just get the schnitzel or beer or burger or Glühwein
- Amanda KellyFebruary 18, 2015Very fun spot during Oktoberfest. Check out the ambiance for their virtual tour before you go! Read more
- Village VoiceMay 31, 2012Who knew such a small spot would have such a large outdoor seating area? Enjoy your steins outdoors on a hot NYC day.
- One of the good places to watch European soccer. It gets packed for Germany games, so be prepared to stand.
- Great outdoors picnic tables. If you want real Germans though go to Zum Schneider.
- Margarita AndersonAugust 1, 2016Beer Garden is cute. The snitzell(pork) is the worst I've had in the Country. Huge waist of money & disappointment. Not sure who rates these places. Beer was Good
- Thomas PajorFebruary 27, 2015The Sauerbraten with Kartoffelklöße and Rotkraut was delicious and authentic!
- Alvaro de SouzaJanuary 16, 2015Extensive German beer list. Weihenstephan Hefeweissbier is a good choice for those who are not that into bitter tastes.
- Nick PardoNovember 5, 2010the pork meatballs with fries and the tomato curry sauce are amazing and it's a good amount of food compared to the other small plates.
- Jen HaysOctober 22, 2011This cheese pretzel featured in Thrillist is only available sometimes and not on the menu. But ask for it, it is pretty tasty - 2 to an order for $7.
- Loreley has really grown on me. Especially when I see my German friends loving it so much!!
- John FedericoJuly 18, 2012Order anything on the menu that ends in _wurst. You won't regret it. (Unless you're a vegetarian...)
- Christopher GarciaSeptember 11, 2014Playlist waaaay too female focused. I'm good on "Let's Hear It For The Boys" for a few years. Otherwise solid spot.
- HavaianasJune 8, 2010On 6/13, the Germany v Australia match will be playing here. Stop by for a chance to win a free pair of Havaianas! Australia has arguably the funniest nickname in all of the 2010 World Cup: Socceroos
- Get the pretzels and scarf them down before they get cold. Wash it down with a maß (1 liter) of anything.
- Kosha ShahNovember 5, 2014The tables smelled like beer had been aging on them! But the fries were amazing!!!!
- BethOctober 9, 2011Not sure why I'm drinking cocktails at a biergartden, but don't be tempted by the Birne Helene cocktail, while it sounds delicious, it's not so great.
- MelApril 30, 2010mashed potatoes are awesome. Wiener Schnitzel (pork, not veal) was a bit thick of a cut and breading was not light enough to "float" off the meat. the wurst platter was good.
- Brian PonceMarch 24, 2019If you want to be around a bunch of poseur hipsters with a douchebag bouncer, who by the way, physically assaulted by kicking me while inappropriately focusing on a woman outside, go here.
- Order up a side of currywurst sauce with the fries. Nice little kick to balance that liter of beer you have. Prost!
