The constellations on the main hall ceiling are backwards. One theory is it's a medieval representation based on how God sees them. Another: the painter had the drawing at his feet...and did it twice.
Buy beer from one of the shops that seeks it to go. Take it on the train. Life is good.
Most beautiful station in NYC. It's also the sister station to Tokyo Station, Japan.

Museum of American FinanceDecember 11, 2012Grand Central has been serving NYC since 1913. Take the 4/5 subway to 48 Wall St. to learn more about building America's railroads at the Museum of American Finance!
If you are a tourist or a suburbanite please don't just stop or wander around aimlessly. People actually have trains to catch and you cause problems when you do this.
Great travel hub. Shake shack downstairs yummy! Skip the cupcake place you can do better.
Don't wait until the holiday weekend (or summer fridays) to buy your ticket! Stop by a day or two before and you'll avoid the long lines.- If hungry, get the NYC Italian Hero from Paninoteca (in food court), and ask them them to grill it. Excellent!
Historic. Bring your camera and shoot the ceiling. Great for die hard history buffs. FDR used to have a personal railroad under the station.

Try to get out of work early in the summer - it gets mobbed by tourists and folks going out to the country/suburbs.
