Great atmosphere and tied for the best ramen in the city but when the wait is long or it's hot out I suggest Ippudo around the corner as well.

Straight noodles over the wavy noodles is my recommendation. Char siu is damn good so plan to get extra. Also get an extra order of ramen on the side.

Broth was rich, peppery, and had strong chicken flavor; very reminiscent of cream of chicken. Chashu tough and chewy. Ajitama light on flavor and not molten. Noodles were al dente and okay. 3.5/5

The extra spicy ramen comes with the spice on the side, so don't be afraid to get it!

The spicy vegetable ramen w/ seasoned avocado is an absolute treat, esp. on a cold night. Add a bit of the "extreme rayu" for that extra kick. The tuna+avocado appetizer is super flavorful too!

Totto goes toe-to-toe with Ippudo for the best Ramen spot in the city. The broth is simply delicious. Watch out for the spice.

Remmeber to save room for Kaedama, the extra ball of noodle you can add to your broth for only $2.50! Much better value than ordering appetizers since their noodles are sooooo delicious!

Still the best ramen in town. Try to go 15-30 min before it opens, it'll lessen the wait. Room for about 15 diners...

There's probably a bit of a wait, but it's worth it... Get your name on the list by the door ASAP so they know you're waiting for a table!

Agreed with the suggestion to get the spicy ramen w the spicy oil on the side so u can spice it yourself. If u like black pepper, u will like this ramen! Also try te potato salad w spicy cod roe.

This is one of NYCs best ramen shops. If going for lunch, get there by 11:30 and put your name in the queue.

Ramen is great and it's cheap! Love the avo tuna. But always long line. This place is quite hidden and easy to miss the basement entrance.

Write your name down, go to to the Michelin rated Danji and get a few tapas. Let an hour pass by and return to enjoy your excellent hot bowl of ramen!

Def not the best ramen in the city. Or even one of the bests. The noodles taste undercooked and aren't chewy enough. The pork buns, however, are pretty good.

It takes about an hour to get through 25 parties on the list. Thats a column + 5 parties o the waiting sheet. Get the mega ramen. Go around the corner for a drink while you wait.

Get the Niku Ramen and add extra spicy sauce. Satisfaction guaranteed from a Ramen lover. Personally prefer Totto over ramen places in Tokyo.

The Spicy Ramen broth is the perfect amount of spicy and not too greasy or salty. Unless you like a dry slab of pork stuck to a few lettuce pieces in mayo, skip the pork bun.

The spicy paste is pretty oily and goes directly to your throat. I'd recommend getting it on the side and straining out the oil before putting it in.

Totto Spicy Ramen with pork; look for a David or a Liz and say hi; coming alone will usually cut 30 or so minutes off the wait time.

The noodles in the Spicy Paitan (the milky-brothed house speciality) ramen were unpleasantly slippery and tasted like flour, and both the chicken and egg were overcooked. Read more

At this small organic noodle-soup joint there are three types of noodles, each paired with a different broth: miso, paitan (creamy chicken) and shoyu (soy-sauce based).

Pretty legit. Worth 15-20 mins wait. No more. But that's just me. Comparatively Ippudo is worth about the same to me. I wouldn't wait 30 mins for either unless desperate.
