    Here's a tip for the Driskill. Serve some decent top shelf in the venue. This JimBeam only crap only degrades your once impeccable name. If it is sponsorship then tell SXSW to kissyourass!

    You surprisingly can't hear 6th street inside! Magic! Order the Texas Pecan waffle for breakfast and eat it in the luxurious bed.

    If you ever have luggage, jackets, or whatever - leave it with the valet and tip them nice. It's a good scene.

    Don't count on the Foursquare check-in special about a pineapple-jalapeño soda. They've been out of ingredients for it.

    The Driskill Hotel is lit up lovely at night. Consider shooting during dusk, and use a tripod to shoot at slower shutter speeds to avoid camera shake and blurry pictures.

    Check-in time is at 4...room was ready at 4:45...we arrived at 3. Annoying. But it's beautiful and supposedly haunted (if you believe that crap).

    We had our engagement there & loved it! Only sad part, I ask for a upgrade bc I choose their hotel but they didn't give me one :(

    This hotel is nice, but I’m not sure it’s worth what they charge for it. Especially when you factor in $45/day for parking.

    Great place, Victorian style... Only issue is that I don't know how to switch off the supposedly relaxing "frog noise" of the alarm clock

    you must try the breakfast burrito at the Driskill hotel, it is kick @ss. you can skip lunch if you can eat the entire thing.

    driskill during sxsw is a quiet civilized stop to meet friends, have a drink, hold a work conf call, charge ur phone & go to the bathroom.
