THE POPCORN IS GREAT ESPECIALLY WITH CAYENNE PEPPER. GET ON YA TRAIN RIGHT AFTER.
On the double decker trains there are luggage racks above the seats on the top level, but not on the bottom.
NJTransit: At least always on time enough for you to see your departing connection...
A bit outdated, but a very serviceable station. Waiting area smells a bit. I recommend going to the Gateway Center to kill some time.

Don't trust the departure vision board or the announcement. many times I have taken the wrong train for paying attention to them don't as a crew member either they will point you to the board

When walking through main waiting area, hold your nose at all times.
If you're looking to be eaten by someone on bath salts, you're in the right place.
The announcer is computerized now and they play contemporary music through the loud speakers.
When going to west side of manhattan, always take NJtransit to penn station if there's a train in the next 20 min. way faster than PATH.
Avoid random people that approaching you. They will offer to help you how to use the ticket machine or to find a cab for you. Always they first ask and then demand for money.

If you're picking up the southbound acela here, be prepared to walk the length of the train looking for seats.
This place is a continuous worlds fair of the human condition. It is somehow frozen in time. Half the people look like they could have been cast in "Autobiography of Malcolm X".
Board on Market St. Side to avoid overcrowding platforms on the way to new york.
You've got to get the popcorn at any of the vendors downstairs. It is the only reason to come here.
Turn headphones on high, avoid eye contact & pretend you don't speak English. And you will still be asking for change.
Keep your guard up in the bathroom. Hobos at every turn. Watch your nose too.
Yellow cabs can be a pain in the butt if you're trying to go local...
Amazed at the homeless situation here. I wish I could help. Friend me if the feeling is mutual...

If you're looking for breakfast, skip Zaros and get an egg sandwich from the pizza place next door. They're much better there.
