- WORST airport 3 years in a row- that says a lot.😠LTN should scrap the £3 charge to drop off and pick up people who had to endure that kind of service- that’s daylight robbery! 🤬
- If your flight's delayed, make sure you hit WHSmith before everything shuts. Which is round about the time they issue you with a £3 voucher! Nice one pishyjet!
- Be prepared to spent an hour at the border control. Also it takes ages to get to London from here.
- AldonaJune 15, 2012If you want to spend the night, be prepared there's extremely limited seating downstairs and it gets chilly. Have a sleeping bag and a sweater! It was quiet until 3 am, though.
- Anna SesztakovaFebruary 5, 2013Hell on Earth! That's how I would imagine myself an airport somewhere in Bosnia! All flights are late and the whole atmosphere of the place never stops reminding you that you've chosen a Cheap Flight.
- The airport becomes a fish market during peak hours (early morning and late night).
- Airside Starbucks has the most plug sockets, benugo also have a few at their bench seating
- Bruno B.March 27, 2016Avoid Luton Airport! F&B is horrible, you need a shuttle to get you to the train station, it is further out than any other airport. London has 4 other airports, use them!
- I was surprised when I wasn't able to find any pay as you sim cards inside the airport except for Lebara and the expensive ones from the machine.
- Adam TarcsiJuly 19, 2022Due to the heat the runaway melted... ("maintenance deficiency"?, but) the main problem is that the airport doesn't have a disaster plan or a plan b if they have to cancel flights. Total chaos.
- NikkiSeptember 4, 2014Very good train connection into London (FCC) but don't waste anytime time in the town itself
- If you are looking for a power socket to charge your phone, there is one behind the post box just beside the WHSmith.
- jason pJanuary 2, 2020Experience much better than it used to be, but they desperately need to get the rail -> airport link sorted
- Look out for Taxi touts at the pick up point they will over charge you always pre book or use a local Luton cab company
- Erik BergsmaMay 14, 2013it costs £15 to get to london center (st pancras) and 45-60 minutes, so it may even cost less ( in time or money) to fly to london city or heathrow directly
- Ian LynesJune 3, 2012Est caffe serves surprisingly good food at reasonable prices. Always worth checking eatdrinkandfly.com for offers. I just got 15% off
- Colm DoddNovember 6, 2011Book on easybus in advance. £15 return to London. Great value and only takes an hour.
- Dropping a passenger off is now 2£, a 100% increase. The traffic flow at the drop off zone is dismal and probably caused many people to miss their flights.
- Iliana DimitrovaSeptember 27, 2014Easy to find everything. Small airport but it has everything you need in there
- Peter ChristiansonAugust 5, 2016If you're using EasyBus to get to London, your bus stop letter will be on the ticket, ignore the signage.
- Dapo AkinsolaJuly 9, 2018Getting transport after 12 midnight is not a good experience, and so also is getting through immigration if you are a foreigner
- Zia BambalanOctober 16, 2018Have an ample time to get to the airport as getting through security will take a long time.
- Edmund DudleyAugust 6, 2016Security check is much smoother and better organised than it used to be. Trays so big you could bathe a dog in them!
- Gracia AltaMay 7, 2018Small. Get from the Check-in to gate within the one hour. Not enough seats but that's normal for a low carrier airport. Arrivals is also very fast and clear signs to the PT.
- The shit hole that was appears to me maturing into a first world airport!
- Get fast track security as you go in - £3 will save you a 20 minute wait in the queue.
- Get to your flight gate within 15 minutes the latest before your flight, otherwise you've just lost it.
- Looking for plug without a padlock over it. Breakfast bar seating in 'the real food company'. Coffee not great but access to power socket is invaluable.
- It's like a building site at the moment. If parking it takes some time to navigate around the construction.
- LTN is a 20 minute taxi from my home - Heathrow 45-60 minutes and Gatwick an hour by train. Door to plane door, LHR and Gatwick still win. That's saying something.
- Graeme BoydJanuary 23, 2011Not usually a fan of these Priority Lane things but this one's defo worth it - £3 and you sail past the queues. Lovely.
- Boon KohApril 30, 2015Bringing liquids on the plane? You can't use your own clear bags. Only theirs that cost £1 as only those can "prove" you have less than 1 litre of liquids in them.
- Hopefully the fast connection with the railway station will make this airport more accessible
- £3 for priority lane access at security is money well spent. Much more worth it than 'speedy boarding'!
- If you're checking in a bag with Whizz Air, get here 2 hours before departure
- eDreamsApril 16, 2012If you’re travelling by train from here, make sure to book tickets in advance. You will pay less for them http://ow.ly/ajlEd
- MarkSeptember 22, 2019Airport is rather large, expected it to be smaller. Lots of food options after security. Though I missed a Costa (only available before security)
- Alice FungMarch 16, 2011Power points at 2 tables in est caffe, 1 down other end of lounge in cafeteria under the tv, another on tiled column in central island. Power up!
- Sam EnglandJuly 19, 2013The airport bus is free, as long as you have a rail ticket from Luton Airport to your destination. London St Pancras is just 20 minutes away!
- JoyboliciousJune 11, 2016Worst London airport ever. the cost from Luton to central London is at least 15.50 each way and queues to get out are ridiculous. Took an hour and you still have to take a shuttle to get a train. :(
- Teodor MuraruMay 16, 2014The check-out procedure through a huge line with people from 2 or even 3 flights took 25 minutes!!! Ouch!
- Kylie ShortJune 20, 2017Absolutely vile security personnel. Pretty sure this airport design is based on a cattle run.
- Rebecca PurbhooAugust 3, 2016This is the worst airport in England. Took ages to get the shuttle from the train station plus you have to pay £2. Small and cramped and every one that works there does things in slow motion!
- Wesley McCloyJanuary 5, 2018Finding the train is a bit challenging (need to take a shuttle bus). Airport is otherwise easy to get through
