Wins for best sushi downtown. Don't come here for fancy rolls, just great quality fish. The rice is perfectly warmed, the fish very fresh. Go for the "trust me" and remember most don't need soy sauce!
The "Trust Me" sushi / sashimi combo is just perfect. Fish is incredibly fresh and melt in your mouth tender. And the rice - that beautiful, warm, fluffy, loosely packed rice.

The Rockin Cucumber is a fantastic martini and the Dragon Roll is wicked. Try the Sake sampler. The bartenders are awesome and the servers are also very knowledgable.

Shishito peppers are a must. Deacon roll is the bomb! Best sushi in the valley. Katsu-ya is a close runner-up. No others even come close.
Really great sushi in this almost hidden valley gem. Sushi Pizza was surprisingly delicious. Also the deep fried shishito peppers were simple but perfect.

Make reservations if you can and sit a the sushi bar. The chefs are amazing there and give great recommendations and instructions on how to eat your sushi.

The salmon sashimi w/ caviar is heaven! Come early if you want to be seated right away. They open at 5:30 for dinner and get packed by 6:30. And that's on a Monday.
My favorite sushi place. Try the red tuna lolipop (no idea what its called - gorgeous presentation), the albacore on fried onion strings is ta die 4, yes, spicy tuna on crispy rice, baked crab - yum!
One word - Omakase. It's pricey, but you won't regret it. Best sushi in LA.
