- Neha AgarwalSeptember 2, 2015The servers are super friendly here and the environment is so warm and welcoming. It's spacious enough to sit and do some work without feeling rushed out. Been looking for a cafe like this!
- Looove this place. Such a warm and comfortable feel here. Nice servers and great food. Sampled 7 different coffee places in NYC and this is my favorite house coffee hands down!!!!!
- Leigh Anne ZinsmeisterMarch 12, 2015The setup is a little confusing - you order and pay at the counter, then the hostess seats you and your food is brought out. Highly recommend the grilled cheese with bacon and the sweet potato fries!
- Nikki BogopolskayaFebruary 12, 2016Perfect for those nights you want a cozy dinner with a friend, but don't want to spend over $25. Tacos, sandwiches, and soups are all great, and I love the seared tuna salad.
- EceMarch 7, 2018Awesome breakfast spot! They usually have a long line, but it moves really fast. I prefer do-it-yourself omlettes and french toasts. They also have freshly squeezed orange juice 😋
- Elizabeth BursteinJanuary 9, 2017I liked the pancakes more than the challah French toast which tasted too egg y for me. The small potatoes and bacon were good. The hot chocolate tasted a bit watered down so I'd recommend the Mexican
- Favorite spot in NYC. Come for the coffee house feel, excellent food, friendly service, draught beer selection...even the music is good. This place is perfection.
- Jess NaldoMarch 23, 2016Super cute/cozy breakfast/lunch spot with friendly counter-service but be prepared to wait! Sandwiches and salads are delicious, tacos and especially The Greydog Breakfast! Everything for everyone.
- That GirlJanuary 7, 2015This place is great and everyone knows it. Expect it to be very busy for happy hour and weekends. Mornings are serene and an awesome way to start the day. Opt for cranberry whole wheat bread always.
- Breakfast quesadillas, egg sandwiches and the zucchini muffins they no longer have. They have an ample gluten free menu also. Really good coffee with free refills. A go to spot for anyone
- it gets packed during brunch, but a gloriously cozy spot to read and people watch on weekday mornings or weekend evenings. don't miss happy hour on Saturday - half price wine bottles!
- I love this location so much! Everything is delicious; sandwiches, salads, omelets, iced coffees, etc. And you can't beat mimosas on a Sunday morning! Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
- Jessica SantascoyJune 21, 2017The sour apple, Brie & turkey sandwich is delightful. For quiet - sit outside. The loud music inside kills conversation & tests your nerves.
- Jess SJanuary 14, 2013Cozy & tasty! Get the #10 veggie & hummus sandwich toasted. Packed w/flavor thx to pepperoncini's hidden in there. Great Udi GF bread too! Country salad & homemade dressing is amazaballs- must try.
- Elizabeth BursteinJanuary 9, 2017High quality brunch for a good price. Get there early because the line is long. Very fratty but fun vibe.
- Omri KlSeptember 12, 2014Great place, one of my favorites. Be prepared to wait in line during brunch around the weekend. For breakfast go with The ol'fashioned with spinach feta and tomato.
- Jeremy JohnstoneNovember 29, 2013Great spot with a home like feel. Breakfast is delicious, but be prepared for a bigger portion size. Only complaint is music was a little loud, but not enough to ruin an otherwise good experience.
- Emi SuzukiJune 14, 2013The fish tacos are my favorite thing to order but I have also had the sandwiches and loved them. Do not forget to order sweet potato fries; they're definitely worth asking for.
- Elizabeth BursteinJanuary 2, 2018Love the oatmeal. Brady had french toast again and it was egg y. Great for a quick breakfast
- IsaMarch 8, 2017Friendly staff, enormous coffee, awesome breakfast and lunch options, and good music. The perfect place to spend the whole day reading and studying;)
- best Chai Latte I have ever had in my life. take breakfast quesadilla! can't go wrong with that choice. be hungry since portions are VERY big. love it
- Delicious Egg and cheese sausage croissant. Try their daily soups. Meatball chicken soup was great.
- ben mAugust 17, 2014Food (chicken melt with challah, yes) and coffee are very good. Staff is awesome, but what's up with the music? Does The Goo Goo Dolls need to be cranked to 11?
- Jenipher BrodyJanuary 31, 2015The mocha is DELICIOUS! And the goat cheese, avacado sandwich was amazing! I can't wait to come back!
- Daniel CapeFebruary 9, 2012Yellow split pea is great but only made amazing by adding a squirt of hot sauce, a small dollop of sour cream (do the dollop!), a spoonful of salsa verde & a pinch o' pepper.. (i.e. get w/tuna tacos.)
- Amy EngFebruary 23, 2020Order at the cashiers and find your own table. Second location... originally opened its 1st restaurant on the west village... best ice coffee!
- Awesome cafe variety. Weekday lunch and dinner aren't too crowded but get there early or prepare to wait for brunches on the weekends.
- George WallaceOctober 20, 2021We liked this place much better than Bubby’s. Their blueberry syrup was delicate and a delightful flavor.
- PercolateApril 14, 2012This is like the secret Grey Dog. It's a good spot for a meeting as it's much more spacious than the University location. We must admit we had a few early breakfasts here after not leaving the office.
- Unpretentious, local feel. This is one place I bring my out of town guests for an ‘NYC experience’.
- Sean DalyFebruary 21, 2015Loved the burger, i heard the turkey burger with an english muffin is excellent. Great environment to hang out with a friend or two.
- Michael GesmeSeptember 25, 2013Hasn't disappointed me yet! Reasonable prices and delicious food! I keep coming back for a grilled cheese on rye with tomato and bacon. *lip smack*
- H & NAugust 18, 2015Homemade pies and they really tastes homemade. Loved the coffee. Friendly staff and atmosphere
- James GreenAugust 20, 2016Super friendly staff and good music. Pretty sure Oberon is always on tap. Love the Apple & Brie sandwich. Go Blue, etc.
- Damian BayonaFebruary 21, 2015Great for a late breakfast bite. The egg sandwich is a much more delicious version of the NY street cart favorite
- SaleemJune 21, 2015Solid sandwiches that come with chips, though they're $11+tax,tip. Great ambience and space as a cafe/sandwich shop too
- Orcun IrfanSeptember 26, 2017Friendly, smiling staff, cozy atmosphere. Village omlette did rock. Pancakes were a little dull and needed more sides. A little expensive pricing.
- Best turkey burger in the city, hands down! Get it on an English muffin too. You won't regret it. And their fries are perfectly done!
- Guillaume FlandreJanuary 17, 2016Great place for brunch (breakfast quesadilla ftw!) The line seems long but is actually moving very fast
- Jon MorrisOctober 9, 2017Awesome brunch. Order food then sit and it’s brought to you. Beer on draft and nice cocktails list.
- Jeremiah LawsonJune 25, 2017Great food . Awesome service . Highly recommend if i'm area . Atmosphere is lively ! ❤️🥘🍹
- Excellent food and very good coffee. Staff can be a little too cool for school but the place is relaxing and big -- almost surprisingly big for Chelsea.
- No one has mentioned the BAKED OATMEAL! oh Christ it's good. Served in a bowl of warm milk and sliced strawberries. The best oatmeal you will have, and such a great idea to bake it.
- César MiraDecember 19, 2014Good atmosphere. Fair prices. $13.5 for the "Grey's dog Breakfast" (see picture)
- Nikolai ChowdhuryMarch 29, 2015Great tasty brunch food, omelette and potatoes were fantastic. Get an iced cappuccino. Worth the Sunday wait.
- Brian TothSeptember 9, 2014So many sandwiches and burger options- thankfully Gluten free bread avail! Music is great throwback, and good prices
- SukiAugust 6, 2017Wide variety of delicious sandwiches, refreshing mint iced tea. Great stop for dinner during the week.
- Paul T.November 9, 2016The turkey, Brie and pear sandwich is delicious. Toasted to perfection and with fries - heaven!
- Tuna melt with tons of franks hot sauce! Also they are open super early which is so rare for brunch in nyc
