Serious EatsNovember 1, 2013What's really impressive about SE Portland's The Beer Mongers is the extraordinary zymological knowledge these guys have to offer.
Great staff. Good prices. Comfortable and safe place to have craft beer. Rotating tap list and large bottle selection to go.
One of Portland's better beer stores, plus 8 rotating taps. Forget Widmer "hefeweizen"-- try some Ayinger, Weihenstephaner or Maisel's Weisse. Also a good selection of ciders & sour beers!
Very reasonable pint prices & a great bottle selection make this place one of my favorite spots. Snag a rare beer from the cooler, have them pour it for you at the bar and relaaaax.

They do samplers, definitely get a few samplers... You get to taste a variety without being drunk right away
