- Jean-Michel RNovember 16, 2014The regional connection to the airport by train are extensive and the station is expansive. Be sure to leave a sufficient (30-40 minute) window to arrive at the terminal, which is reached by bus.
- I like this airport. It has everything you need for your flight. I got even a picture gifted the last I was here. Still don't know why
- Avoid FRA for changing flights. This airport is extremely confusing and personnel rude. To confuse you even more they display trains on the same screens with flights. Simply: avoid at all cost!
- Lil DragonMay 29, 2018Had to walk a lotttt to get to my connecting gate. Good part is there was free WiFi and these comfy pods to relax in.
- Barbara W.O.August 22, 2014Lufthansa is the best airline and more comfortable service on land, but the airport is full, always. No problem with immigration, is very relaxed. And friendly.
- Don't buy a coffee / tea from coffee shops, many free Lufthansa coffee / tea machines are there waiting for you to drink 😊
- Wafa AzmiJanuary 7, 2020For muslims, note that prayer rooms are only available near the arrival and departure gates. Once you go outside, there’ll be no prayer rooms available for you.
- Mohamed ElwiNovember 10, 2014If you are connecting International with Domestic flights - make sure u have enough time. Love the CAMEL lounges though.
- Jon B.January 6, 2019Give yourself plenty of time if connecting from EU to US flights, as the transfer between terminals is a bit cumbersome.
- Josh 🌶☢August 14, 2022Long layover? Boom a room at MyCloud micro hotel (ahead of time). Beware : passport control line lengths may differ greatly going one direction vs. the other!
- Hana Feberia 🐻March 5, 2017Really love this airport, love the ambiance, I only have to take ICE (speed train) to Leipzig or wherever I wish to go ❤
- Good airport with a lot of things to do there. You can buy some souvenirs or fashion clothes and eating sushi.
- Ameen AlmasabeJanuary 13, 2018The airport procedures were easy and the airport was generally clean and fairly hospitable, all services were there
- Ka Yi LingJuly 7, 2018Much more spacious and new than a few years ago in the Z wing. I like the cheap options for duty free from 0500-1000 everyday
- Hans AramburoJune 21, 2014If this is your first time travelling from the US, the airport souvenir shops sell adapters for your electric appliances. Make sure the adapter has three pongs for your laptop.
- Katrina TorrefrancaOctober 20, 2016Good airport w/ lots of coffee shops & inernet... Be there with enough time cause the security and immigration counters can be slow.
- I don't understand why people complain about this airport. It's efficient & clean, passport control is fast and Lufthansa employees are fantastic
- Fiona NguyenNovember 22, 2013One of the best airports ! Has chill out zones, smoking rooms with good air filtering system and .. u can find corners to charge ur devices everywhere !!!
- Brecht De WeirdtJanuary 24, 2020You will need the 2hrs lay-over if you have an incoming non-eu flight, very thorough security check, long immigration queue, long distance to cover
- Olga SmirnovaMay 13, 2013Lufthansa are nice guys: offering a 400-euro compensation for volunteers who would willingly check in for the evening flight to St.Petersburg due to the overbooked morning flight. Yeah right.
- MeliNovember 15, 2019Game zone! Relaxing seats! Desks for working! All free! Just as an airport should be! Long layovers? No problem at all.
- Gyozo NagyMay 3, 2016I like better both Munich and Düsseldorf if it is about German airports. Probably because I have been running many times to one terminal to the other and once I slept here.
- Think about getting wifi for free? In your dream! Give you access with complicated registration. With all advance technology they have, wifi for free is not one of them
- Eero WahlmanSeptember 22, 2013Nice and very large airport. The only drawback is that the free wi-fi connection works well only in certain places and the connection is time limited to 30 minutes.
- Johannes von ScheidtDecember 11, 2019Well connected to the city, but there is quite a bit of walking involved here. Lounges are great and you have so many options for airlines and non-stop destinations here.
- Yiannis PapasavvasDecember 5, 2014Biggest airport in Germany.Be early& prepared to get lost.Security is strict.Lots of shops and places to drink and eat.Free express train connects 2 terminals.Free wifi. Avoid short connections here
- The connection hub in europe. Very big airport can be problematic if you have short connection times.
- Identity InkAugust 27, 2018If you get this sticker they will search you again before you get on the plane. TSA also puts your stuff in the cases for you.
- First travel in 6months and looks like folks have been managing airport real good (C19 impact management)
- Luis Óscar Mendoza GuzmánJanuary 23, 2015I love this airport it has everything you need while you're waiting, traveling or just passing
- Finally back at FRA, everything just runs perfectly without hassels und long waits! Other airports can learn a lot from here! Love being here!
- Messy lounges. Access from gates A to B and reverse is a huge hassle (queuing for elevators - if you choose the stairs is a burden & then the long corridor)! Not a passenger friendly airport.
- If "B" border control counter and as well automatic passport lanes are crowded at the left hand side. Further lanes are at the right 👉
- Ashley SpearsDecember 1, 2014If you're American be warned that once you go through security you are at your gate and cannot leave so make sure you are done eating and shopping before going through
- Amit GaharwarMay 3, 2015Great airport. However to go from int'l section to local flights (for EU/Schengen), one has to walk a lot. Huge airport.
- M. R.May 27, 2013Europe's third busiest airport has improved in the last decade although there is still plenty of room for improvement (i.e. some flights still have their passengers shuttled by bus). Arrive early!
- AncaJanuary 24, 2018The shuttle between Terminal 2 and 1 is free of charge. It operates between 5.45 am and 11.45 pm, every 10 min. Long distance train station is at Terminal 1.
- Sercan AktaşJune 12, 2013Oh Gosh ! Really too big airport. I saw first-time A380 Airbus from Lufthansa AirLines. Excellent and You can find your airport doors with Simple forwaiting... Loved it !
- Arrive at least 2 hours earlier. It’s serious otherwise you may lose your time between lines and missing your flight ✈️ !Upvoted Apr 20
- Diego VerasAugust 11, 2014This is as big an airport as can be. If you want a real workout, try having a 1hr connection time between two different terminals. Non stop running yo barely make it!
- Christian NelsonAugust 29, 2018Ok this is a huge airport, so easy to take a wrong turn. But hey ask any of the red-coat workers for direction and you be ok.

- Petra BosJuly 7, 2015Best airport I know: free coffee at the gates, free 24 hours WIFI, and wonderful lounge area with lounge chairs.
- Eyad AljardanAugust 8, 2014التفتيش الأمني الممل .. Think thousand times before travel through this airport .. The security check is really annoying.. Specially if you travel with kids !!!
- Juliana MilanovAugust 9, 2021Schedule extra time to make it to your connecting flight. Airport is huge and 1 hour layover is super risky. Prepare to pay freaking 5 Euro for a bottle of water.
