    I you have seen London on TV then you will have seen Big ben. I real life it is awe inspiring with its gothic architecture.

    Big Ben refers to the 13 ton bell in the clock tower of Westminster Palace. Opinion is divided as to whether it was named after the then Commissioner of Works, or a famous prize-fighter of the time.

    Hop on the northbound bus number 12 from Westminster. It will take you past the Big Ben, 10 Downing Street, Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus.

    Undergoing extensive conservation work until 2021. Big Ben was covered in scaffolding as my last visit in September 2018.

    Apparently Big Ben is the name of the bell. The tower is called Elizabeth tower. Big Ben is much more catchy ;)
