- @thirstyJuly 8, 2016A true NYC institution, this revamped spot is still serving up delicious drinks - they have 12 kinds of Negronis - and even has patio seating for summertime sipping. We recommend the Al Fresco Spritz.
- The Ulikely Negroni is a weird and wonderful potion, one of the most creative cocktails in the city. Burrata with whole roasted tomato, pesto and crostini is cheese porn.
- L. S.December 13, 2016Wow!! A must try in this neighborhood. Delicious red wine and handmade pasta and ambience for days...well years since it's been open since 1915!Upvoted 3 days ago
- Ross WSJanuary 11, 2018Espresso bar sine 1915 and NY landmark, it didn’t become a drinking destination until bartending legend Naren Young took over in '15. Try the $10 Negroni Sessions (12 options) between 3-6pm weekdays.
- Marie La RueJune 10, 2023Veal ragu and sidewalk dining. One of the best locations for people watching. New York institution famous for their bar program. Get the cannoli too.Upvoted Mar 12
- Melissa TAugust 15, 2018So good! Fun atmosphere for drinks and the food is 🤤🤤🤤 pappardelle with boar ragù was so good! Also had a great glass of Cabernet Sauvignon for a decent price.
- David ChitanavaApril 26, 2023Dante is always a good idea! The place where the tastiest food, great choice of cocktails, and fantastic service are guaranteed.Upvoted Mar 12
- Probably the most authentic setup for outdoor dining amid this pandemic with live swanky music & ornate glass dividers. The food is as excellent as you remember. Vibrant cocktails and fresh everything
- Never too crowded, amazing cocktails, solid brunch + dinner. A place you can post up for hours (and should).
- Andrew CJune 10, 2019Supposedly one of the best bars/cafes in NYC... but its changed owners and changes to menu, vibe, etc over the years -- the burrata cheese (on anything) is delicious and gooey and oh, so good
- Shayan SanyalNovember 9, 2018One of my new fave cocktail bars and restaurants in nyc. It deserves its world top 50 rating. Have the negronis. Oh and their Bloody Mary is epic!
- Negroni Sessions offer a seasonal menu of 13 signature Negronis (all wonderful in their own way, especially during happy hour from 3-6pm daily for $10)
- Dan SohaydaJanuary 9, 2018Too many food options to pick from; they all sounded so good! Green bowl was a good portion. Negroni session was not available for brunch which was a bummer. Will have to return for that for sure!
- Nieki EsmailiOctober 26, 2020Spaghetti alle vongole is very well done! Nothing beats the vibe at Dante, such beautiful ambiance, great staff and the perfect music. Great date night spot as well. :)
- Condé Nast TravelerAugust 22, 2016This is so not a dark and dank mixology spot, and it shows in the upbeat mood of its customers who appreciate lots of natural light, leather green banquettes, and smiling bartenders. Read more
- Negronis are awesome, course. Great food! Try the octopus or burrata if they’re on the menu.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantOctober 21, 2015Great new spot from ex-saxon and parole peeps. Great cocktails esp negroni menu. Also has outdoor seating.
- I've been many times with the hope of trying all of their pastas. But each time, I end up getting sucked right back in by the fantastic pappardelle with wild boar ragu.
- Wonderful negroni menu. Chocolate and Unlikely are great.
- Dan EApril 15, 2019Excellent cocktails and vibes. House made ricotta, octopus starter, and wild boar pappardelle were delightful
- Ross WSOctober 9, 2021The Garibaldi remains the must-order libation. Made with Campari and ‘fluffy’ orange juice, it is the bar in a microcosm – an old classic brought back to life.
- Abbie WMarch 15, 2017PureWow: "$9 Negroni happy hour, featuring a dozen riffs on the cocktail, including chocolate- and lavender-infused versions alongside the classic"
- Vicky OApril 4, 2018Quaint little place with great vibes! Staff are attentive. Great negronis the place is filled with locals. The boar ragu was nothing special. Steak was better. Their vermouth was a little strange.
- Always, always do a Garibaldi to start off your experience.
- Best Aperol spritz in the city, down to the almond-stuffed olive. So lovely.
- CharlottesMarch 18, 2017Cute Italian style eatery with great wine list and some stellar dishes like burrata and steak but also some disappointments like burnt flatbread
- Gabriel HayesOctober 28, 2015So glad they reopened. While the atmosphere is a little different since the rebrand, there is nothing quite like having an espresso at Dante.
- Brittney PotterDecember 26, 2015Their Vongole soup spaghetti was amazing. We started off with the Burrata which was good but didn't like how it was served with a roasted tomato.
- Quinn DuffyOctober 15, 2018Go for the drinks and the innovative/interesting side dishes. Avoid the pasta. Great spot for a quick bite to begin the night but wouldn’t make it my main event.
- Time Out New YorkOctober 5, 2018It's that simple, pleasure-seeking ideology that embodies Dante, the beloved MacDougal Street Italian café turned small plates restaurant and cocktail bar in 2015. Read more
- Elizaveta T.October 17, 2021It’s a simple math. Almond milk pancake + Cafe Dante coffee = a combo to die for🏆
- Jackson IsaacsonOctober 14, 2016Their cocktails are incredible, so be sure to try their seasonal creations.
- Danielle RussoOctober 10, 2019The cocktails are great. Good vibe. Skip the food. Manager appeared distracted and probably shouldn’t be at the helm of such a busy / iconic place.
- Elvis RodricksApril 29, 2023Come in at the bar for a decent afternoon snack sit down.. negro is not bad….Upvoted Mar 12
- I PNovember 28, 2017You can't probably go wrong with any drink but negroni on tap and gin and tonic are my favorite.
- Christina ChinMay 17, 2019So go for drinks, cute date pl, food is limited and what came out was nothing special. They forgot our order and then rushed it but the meatballs came out cold like they didn't heat it up long enough.
- Isa SierraJune 25, 2018Amazing food. The best Apperol Spritz I’ve had outside of Italy (ask for two olives)
- Kay TeoAugust 6, 2017Unique cannoli - shell is different from the traditional cannoli. Generously covered with pistachio. A tad too sweet.
- Kate ZrazhevskayaDecember 30, 2019try to get in during happy hours (3-6 pm), unlikely negroni is awesome!
- Emily GiglieranoJanuary 28, 2018For the love of cocktail garnishes, make a reservation. Even on weeknights, planning to squeeze in at the bar is a fool's errand
- Rafi RomeroMay 18, 2017like but not love. get the Old Pal: it's a perfect Negroni-Manhattan. the steak tartare was also superb
- 𝙶𝚘𝚗𝚣𝚊𝚕𝚘 𝙰𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚊𝚜July 6, 2019Aperol sprtiz is great. Negroni is great. Food is great. Service is great.
- Kayleigh HarringtonAugust 28, 2017You should be drinking cocktails here. They do some amazing things with negronis.
- JarrodApril 15, 2022This place used to be amazing, however, the service I got last time here was not very friendly at all. A lot of the reasons to come here have now been absorbed.Upvoted Mar 12
- Julia MillotJanuary 3, 2018Best place to sit for hours over coffee and brunch or drinks and lite bites
- Mikahla VicinoJanuary 11, 2019The Margarita Royale is so refreshing. It's like a glass of orangeade with a kick. 10/10.
