A wonderful place to spend the day or evening for that matter! Bring a picnic lunch/dinner and $15 for parking. Don't want to bring food, dining options are great too. An amazing place.

The garden was extremely relaxing. Set up reservations if you want to eat at the restaurant otherwise go to larger cafe below it for a nice meal.

Park early then walk the 3/4mi up alongside the tram to grab a coffee atop your own private hilltop retreat. Then take the 11am Collection Highlights tour.

The Getty museum itself is one of the most innovative and contemporary buildings, I have ever seen. The art works consisted of ancient European art and medieval tapestries. which surprised me

Visit Van Gogh's "Irises" on the top floor of the West Pavilion. The free audio tour that you get in the main building is def worth listening to. Do the tour of the Getty Grounds too.

Instead of purchasing an audio tour you can use Google Goggles on your smart phone and take a picture of any piece of art to hear the history of it. It works great... Don't forget your earpiece!!
