Tim MJanuary 2, 2014Bring your own pen to fill out your departure card. There apparently is none available in the terminal
Don't arrive too early...actually yes do, 40 mins to check 3 people in yet a tour group of 30 started after & were finished before. Boarding at 5am but customs doesnt open til then. Absolute joke.

Just arrived in Auckland !! Make sure you visit friendly team at the iSite information centre. Just on the left when you leave customs.

Long white cafe makes a great coffee to sip while you wait at the refurbished arrivals hall.

Use the SmartGate if you hold NZ passport. Available on departure and arriving.

Never use the Express Lane if you're an Aus/NZ passport holder... The Smart Gate is much faster.

Paul LeppertApril 30, 2010Be sure to pick up a "Shopping Deals" brochure as you exit customs (on your right) for various coupons in the duty free shops.
There is a book shop, loos and power plugs at gates 15 and 16 but it is a long walk to them
The KFC at the upstairs food court doesn't take any vouchers/coupons and don't do most promotional items.

Head toward the EK gates for some nice planespotting oppurtunities
Still no free internet...... Just stand close to the business class launch to get onto theirs...
- There is a Power point located on the wall between the two tv's next to burger king!
Try the Nutra blast smoothie from the Tank bar upstairs, it's full of banana oaty goodness.
