DoubleDeuce: Fantastic place. Come with your date. Not too expensive, not too loud, decent location. Always lots of neighborhood options to move along if it's going well.
Jon Steinback: Best sit-down pizza in the East Village (and probably Manhattan). An ambitious eater can down a whole pie, so get a couple different ones for your table.
