Always offering a fantastic beer selection, Amsterdam is one of my favorite beer spots in SF. If they have the Habanero infused Sculpin IPA from Ballast when you visit, I highly recommend it.
The perfect bar for conversations and great beer selection. Always chill and friendly. Small patio too. One of my very favorites in the city.

Gloria YangSeptember 19, 2012Kind of a small bar with a nice bartender. She broke a pint glass though (too drunk to work?). Nice place to chill if you have a lot of time, but definitely not a date place
Ask Kellie (the one who most likely is behind the bar) for tastes of what's on tap. She's always willing to give out tastes so you can find the beer you want!

I wouldn't call this a dive bar unless dive means awesome.
When you order wine the female bartender that works here always fills your glass right to the rim!! :)
