- Dan DupreeApril 6, 2018First time at Dumpling Time. Very impressed. Unique dumplings. The pan seared bbq pork buns were the stand out for me. The edamame was flavored well. Great tea choices. 5 dishes and tea for $50
- Margaret IppolitoMay 23, 2017XLB are good, obviously not DTF, but still pretty decent. The dessert bao is where it's at, get a trio for each person, they're so good you won't want to share.Upvoted Feb 7
- Mike WinstonDecember 12, 2018Love the wide range of dumpling styles offered. Really enjoyed the Tom Yum Goong XLB, Seafood Gyoza, and Lamb Xi'an Dumplings with a pot of hot freshly brewed Pu'er Tea. WinstonWanders.com
- Suzy TranJune 22, 2017The limited edition "Pride" dessert baos were 👌🏽. Black sesame, Taro, and Salted Egg were my personal favorite. Please try the seafood gyoza. They were 🔥.
- Vicki KolovouNovember 24, 2018Not an expert on dumplings but everything was very tasty. We tried over 10 different dishes and all were unique. Fast service w/out continuously bugging you with questions. Would definitely re-visit!
- Rheya ShanoMarch 30, 2019We ordered Crispy sesame tofu squares, Shrimp toast, Steamed pork riblets, Seafood gyoza, Wagyu beef gyoza, Maine lobster siu Mai, Pork xlb, and Trio of buns. All were really delicious!
- Shrutika SachdevMarch 17, 2018San Francisco flare with microgreens on top! If your craving dumplings, this is your spot in the design district with some unique flavor combos on the menu! Be prepared to wait!
- Get the xiao long bao, Xi An dumplings, and green tea milk bao.
- Feed two people for under $20 -- BBQ pork bao, shrimp and cilantro har gow, and tom yum goong xiao long bao.
- Megan AllisonFebruary 5, 2018Oh man, this place is super delicious. Skip the gimmicky giant bao with the straw and don't miss seafood gyoza, lobster siu Mai and Beijing noodles. For a good time, pair with a Torrontes 👌
- The seafood gyoza are amazing. The Tom yum XLB are also particularly good. The pan seared dumplings are great, as are the beans. Personally I think the King Dum is just a gimmick and not worth it.
- Diana ArzMarch 27, 2018My favorite dumpling place ever! The line gets too long, but the food is amazing, price is fair, service is great, so occasionally I’m willing to wait 😉.
- Madeline SullivanDecember 30, 2018Amazing!!! Such friendly staff and was so quick. There is a little wait because they don’t take reservations. Beyond worth the wait.
- Get the signature XLB, seafood gyoza, Beijing noodles, and egg yolk dessert bun! For tea, you can have a pot for at least 2 people. Deliciousness!
- Kat CorlissDecember 14, 2018Pork xiao long bao is a must, but the sleeper hit are the beautiful deep red tom yum flavored ones.
- Vicki KolovouNovember 24, 2018Not an expert on dumplings but everything was very tasty. We tried over 10 different dishes and all were unique. Fast service w/out continuously bugging you with questions.
- Noah WeissNovember 22, 2019Super tasty dumplings: seafood gyoza and Tom yum goong soup dumplings (XLB) were our winners.
- Chris H.June 15, 2017Great Xiao long bao, but stick to the regular size. The XL ones (king baos?) Are too unwieldy and don't have the right soup ratio. The straw is fun, though..
- Diana ArzMay 28, 2017This place is fantastic! Loved everything we tried. Great environment, nice service, we'll be back!
- Kenny KhuuJune 7, 2018Beijing noodles were very tasty with quality noodles and well marinated pork. Portion was very meager for the price though. 3.5/5
- Kritarth JainMarch 2, 2018Some of the best dumplings I've had! Great service and food comes out super quick. Worth the wait outside however long it is.
- CarissaFebruary 13, 2020went here on a wednesday night and line wasn’t too long for 3 people (15 mins). everything is good, but the shrimp toast is a must have!
- Everything is so good! BBQ pork buns, shrimp hargow, seafood gyoza, pork & shrimp siu mai, and soup dumplings are must haves 😍
- Michael AldereteJune 30, 2018The seafood gyoza were the standout across two visits. The beet skin soup dumplings were a close second.
- Diana ArzDecember 24, 2018Love it! Long lines, but the food is really good, service is nice, prices are decent.
- Ben ChenSeptember 23, 2017Amazing XLB (Shanghai Dumplings)! Bring friends and try everything. Finish your meal with the dessert bun trio.
- Andrew GaldiNovember 13, 2017Really delicious dumplings and very reasonable prices! The soup dumplings and gyoza were our favorite
- Lauren AdamsApril 30, 2019I diiiiied at these dumplings! Tom Yum, hot damn, that combo of flavors is enough of a reason to come here alone.
- If you're fine with takeout, the wait is nonexistent instead of the ungodly long line for sit down service.
- Kenny KhuuJune 7, 2018Shrimp toast was a dim sum-like item that could have been executed better. The Chinese donut didn’t have much body to it and the shrimp didn’t do much either on top. 3/5
- Pavan KulkarniDecember 11, 2017Amazing dumplings. Definitely try the shrimp and pork dumplings. Veggie noodles was good too.
- Andrew BristowAugust 8, 2018Honestly the best dumplings I’ve had in SF and the prices are amazing, could not recommend more
- Jacy LiAugust 24, 2017Love the xlb and Beijing noodle! Reasonably priced, only if the line could be shorter
- They just opened less than a week ago and have had long waits and even had to close the wait list early. Go early and be prepared to wait in line even if you arrive half an hour after opening time.
- The tea policy is one pot per person (about 3-4 servings) but unlimited hot water refills.
