- Fantastic LA-style Mexican food, among the best in the city. Try the verde chicken enchiladas and check out all the Lakers/Dodgers memorabilia on the walls!
- Ben MackeyApril 29, 2015Ever wonder what the love child of a Los Angeles dive bar and a Mexican restaurant would look like? Look no further. Come get some amazing, cheap tacos - you won't regret it.
- We come here pretty much every Thursday. The staff is awesome, Pauline, the manager is the best. The food is the best. Carnitas tacos and tortilla soup are my favs.
- Andrew WeiserMarch 28, 2018The tacos are particularly good, each on a single soft corn tortilla, and the fillings are profuse, whether you select the odiferous barbacoa, the oily picadillo, or deep-fried pescado.
- Labib RahmanAugust 18, 2018I come here almost exclusively for the lengua (beef tongue) tacos. Where most other preparations are gelatinous and chewy, this is mix of crispy and soft like good pulled meat.
- Kimmie OhhDecember 9, 2019Get the usual tacos : carnitas, bistec, chorizo, cecina, barbacoa (lamb) & suadero (beef flank). Feeling adventurous? Get the cabeza (beef head), lengua (beef tongue) or buche (pork stomach).
- Taqueria is the absolute best. Low key, chill vibes and the absolute sweetest staff. Carnitas anything is out of this world. Go for the lamb taco and tortilla soup while you're at it.
- Wade VJuly 16, 2017The fish taco was quite good. Good guacamole. Stiff margs. Homemade chips. Maybe the best for sit down Mexican food in NYC.
- Strong margaritas and delicious tacos. Excellent option for group dinner. Be adventurous and try tongue taco.
- CarolineJuly 9, 2018vague Los Angeles theme. tacos are particularly good, barbacoa, the oily picadillo (livened up with a finger chile), or deep-fried pescado.
- Chez OngMay 14, 2015Very friendly service. Top three are the lamb, cabeza and the pork. Closest thing to LA style tacos I've had so far.
- Nick AndlingerApril 1, 2015Cabeza taco is one of the best in the city. Juicy, spicy and everything you want in a taco.
- AleOctober 17, 2021If you have to choose; don't do tacos ask for a quesadilla instead. Beef Quesadilla with a side of Guac to spread on top.
- Amaury TouchyourTrililiFebruary 2, 2018Got tacos with chorizo, lamb and beef tongue, they were all super good.
- BonJune 17, 2016Fast great service! Salsa was refilled without even asking! Great guac and tacos (had nopal pros and carnitas).
- Paul KardousJuly 1, 2017Jersey City's famous Taqueria is now in the EV. The namesake has more atmosphere but the tacos are just as good.
- Dustin LeeMay 25, 2015Just like the old location except A LOT bigger! Every taco is good. Try the cabeza, lengua, and buche
- Vince FrisinaOctober 19, 2019The cabeza taco is a rich, spicy, bundle of deliciousness! If you are not familiar or nervous about “roasted head” just know it’s incredible.
- StephanieOctober 21, 2016Cheap LA-style tacos, etc. Read the "rules" before you order. Draws a crowd so get there early if you can.
- Allison NiksichAugust 12, 2015They have amazing tacos! I personally love the fish but the lamb is amazing as well
- Samantha EvansSeptember 1, 2017Great tacos, margs, and everything else. From the west coast and this is my favorite place for Mexican food!
- AdrienMay 14, 2016Once I did a marathon of my five favorite tacos place in East Village. This is one of them!
- Kathryn DJuly 4, 2018Cheap and good, but not great food. Cactus tacos are a good choice for vegetarians. Skip the torta.
- Kristina MorgadoAugust 18, 2019More of a sports bar than a restaurant. Tacos are good, but their guacamole lacks flavor. Their waitress Jennifer clearly hates her job. We had to chase her down to order more and for our check.
- Never disappoints. Cheap brunch when you're really hungry and craving delicious Tex Mex.
- AmateurConciergeJuly 20, 2015More like a 7 than a 9! What you'd expect from Mexican on St Marks. Ingredient quality leaves a lot to be desired. This is what gives NYC mex a bad name. Avoid ground beef, opt for $1 salsa upgrade.
- Jordin SmithSeptember 20, 2019From a Californian, it’s like a 6.9/10. Free salsa but the food just wasn’t like home.
- Alex RobertsonMarch 11, 2023I feel like I didn’t like the food very much but it’s cheap for the areaUpvoted Apr 6
