Been here four times and have yet to be disappointed. Good staff, great food, cooked to perfection, white, flakey, gorgeous. And that's just the staff.
I'm a northerner and grew up by the sea. So fish and chips are important to me. This place is excellent, easily the best chippy in the area. The cod is particularly extent - a must visit.
Good for posh fish & chips. Can't book, but if you go for a drink in the pub next door they will come & get you when your table is free!
Fried fish is their speciality, but seafood in general (mussels, prawns, scallops) are always available with a wide selection. Never forget the desserts, which are great!
Excellent fish & chips. The mushy peas are good too. They do grilled or fried fish. The takeaway lunch special is really good value - fish, chips & mushy pease for £6,50

- I'm falling out of love with The Scallop Shell. Grumpy front-of-house guy these days, cheap sliced white bread, and the fish seems different. Last two visits were rubbish ☹️
