- Solid new contender in the crowded Ramen market in Mountain View. The tonkatsu broth ramen with pork belly on sizzling plate is great. The fried rice is also tasty
- LisaNovember 26, 2014This might move Shalala down on my list. Solid tonkotsu ramen. Delicious and milky broth, al dente noodle and perfectly boiled egg. Kaarage is just fine.
- Conner HobsonMarch 4, 2016Best vegetarian ramen I've had. It's nice how they have a separate ingredients list for vegetarians instead of just taking the ingredients out of the normal pork ramen like most places do.
- Kat 🐱May 29, 2017The Tonkatsu Deluxe Ramen (mild spicy) broth is pretty good. The chashu is a little rough but overall it's still way better than Maruichi.
- Mauricio PescadorJanuary 19, 2018Best ramen ever! Try the one with the Deluxe included on its name, you won't regret it!
- Caroline DengAugust 9, 2016Got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with Pork Belly. The broth is thick and the pork belly is fatty, which makes for a very rich meal. The broth could be a little less salty, but it's comparable to Shalala.
- Possibly the second best ramen you can get in Mountain View (after Shalala). The pork belly is to die for, and everything was overall good but didn't shine in any particular way. Solid choice tho.
- Jay MarNovember 21, 2018Always packed, bar seating is best bet! Solid service, tasty spicy pork broth, request egg or rice noodles! Not too pricy, not too noisy!
- Ryan TamaresJanuary 5, 2020A challenge to enjoy dinner seated at the bar w/ an infant screaming into your ear & customers waiting to be seated complaining within ear shot. Regardless, some good eats to be had here.
- Andrew WongNovember 17, 2019Medium spicy chicken paitan with extra noodles 🍜 has similar spice and portion level as ramen nagi double portion spice (L2-3). The chicken is very flavorful and tender! 💯
- Tobias SchmidtMarch 16, 2017The medium spicy tonkotsu broth is rich and creamy and just about perfect. The chashu and eggs are only ok but the pork belly hits the spot
- Thomas PajorNovember 9, 2015New Ramen place on Castro. This place is much underrated here. The ramen wasn’t spectacular, but still very good. Wish they had pork buns as appetizers.
- Nora TaranoMay 31, 2015I had pork belly ramen, and it was fantastic! On the down side, I wasn't a fan of the noodles and the service was not great.
- Japanese Chicken cutlet curry and the Tonkotsu Deluxe Ramen
- Ramen is best in town but service is to be desired. Been here twice and absolutely no service after food has been dropped off. First time they got my party's order entirely wrong. Step it up Yu-Gen.
- Shannon LowSeptember 7, 2019Used to be good but the tonkotsu broth is no longer as rich, flavourful and authentic as it used to be. Karaage was also a bit dry, overseasoned and a bit burnt.
- Angel FuSeptember 7, 2015I think this place deserves a little bit higher rating. The service wasn't as bad as online reviews. The Toripitan soup base was good, but the pork belly was disappointing. Fried rice was not bad.
- Tonkotsu ramen is rich but not heavy. The side plate of kakuni pork was tender.
- Tantek ÇelikMarch 27, 2018Avoid if you’re vegan, vegetarian, or pescetarian. They only have one so-so veggie noodle dish, zero veggie curries or izakayas, and one meh fish dish. Unacceptably sad for a 2018 Bay Area restaurant.
- VincentMarch 9, 2015Ugh don't eat here. The chefs are not Japanese. There's a reason there aren't lineups outside.
