- TomJune 25, 2017Minimalist Japanese cafe, very comfortable, great service & great food. They offer a variety of rice balls that can be coupled with soups & small sides. For dinner they have a variety of rice bowls.
- Natasha SNovember 28, 2016I ordered the rice ball lunch special and it was tasty! It comes with 2 rice balls, 1 specialty miso soup, and a side dish for $10.5. Good food and a really nice atmosphere. They have wifi too!
- mapbackwardsAugust 1, 2014The onigiri are so good- had the kinoko & beef sukiyaki. The kinoko soup was also very good. The kurogoma shortbread cookies is nice as well. Glad to hear that the owner is from Kansai in Japan!
- Ames VuongMarch 31, 2017Rice combo is a great deal for lunch - can't go wrong with any onigiri here. Wifi's slow, but it's a nice, quiet place for reading, writing, or meeting someone. Wonderful atmosphere
- I get lunch combo here when I'm not in the mood for salad. Portions are small if you're used to getting sandwiches or Chipotle for lunch. I like the pickle-y omusubi, Wakame and Ume. Try Hawaiian too!
- TiffanyOctober 2, 2015Cute Japanese food shop in the busy garment district. They have good lunch deals for two rice balls and a miso soup. Also try the green tea roll cake if you have room for dessert!
- Mark BramhillJune 25, 2016The origiri here are the best in NYC — and it's a great value. The ume is a classic that they do perfectly, and the Sweet Potato and Sukiyaki are also great. 🍙🍙🍙🍙🍙
- YJ HanMay 15, 2017Many kinds of home made types of Japanese onigiry (rice ball) will welcome you.I definately recommend the lunch special: two onigiri+soup+one side dish. Not very salty or spicy but not too simple.
- Diana OlympiaMarch 6, 2018tofu miso meh and TINY side so not an amazing lunch special but rice balls are good quality. i like the Hawaiian and Cha-Su Pork. also, no espresso drinks here and whole milk or half & half only
- Everything is fresh and tasty. Not crowded, and pretty quiet even at lunchtime on a weekday.
- AmateurConciergeApril 15, 2018Healthy eating. Combo gets you miso (BLT!), 2 rice balls (liked the chashu and sweet potato) and a side (okra > spinach). Tomago pudding is barely tomago, more like a flan
- Love this place!! Perfect for a light lunch that doesn't put you to sleep in the afternoon. Lunch combo includes 2 rice balls, a soup and 2 sides.
- Zlata ZubenkoOctober 17, 2016Get the lunch combo! I enjoyed Hawaiian and Pork omusubi with Kinoko miso with a side of potato salad and pickled vegetables
- Ernesto GutierrezJuly 6, 2018Great decor. The rice ball lunch special is delicious, but the amount of meat they use is scarce. If you eat a lot you will most likely walk out hungry.

- Amik ☠March 4, 2015Everything is pretty good, particularly the sukiyaki omusubi ... miso soup could use a lot of work though.

- Brad WillardAugust 22, 2019Delish rice triangles in a beautiful space that makes me nostalgic for Japan
- Jasmine ButtolphMay 3, 2016Not vegetarian friendly. It's good to know before you go so you don't plan on having the tofu dish made with fish sauce. Otherwise was really adorable. Food looked good.
- Ru LuSeptember 26, 2014Beautiful interior, definitely a good concept for restaurant, perfect combo between oosaka and nyc.
- Ryan HaighAugust 13, 2015A breath of fresh air in an area otherwise littered with chain restaurants and tourists. Lunch/rice combo meal was clutch.

- Alexandra LevitasMarch 6, 2017Really nice atmosphere, interesting choices, decently priced and well sized. Sadly, it's not the best Japanese food... the miso is just average.
