- Pao RodriguezFebruary 19, 2017Best vegan Indian food ever!! Definitely try the jackfruit vindaloo, spicy eggplant and veggies, potato masala, and their amazing chickpea cutlets. Order several sides to make a full meal!
- EaterJanuary 6, 2014The newest restaurant in the Ocean complex, offers a delicious take on Indian food—that just happens to be vegan. Plates arrive heaped with chickpea "cutlets," lentil dosas, and tahini-dressed kale.
- Enrique Gutiérrez ArzateOctober 12, 2016The food is very tasty, I have Hindu friends who cook amazing and the flavor is similar here! I would not recommend the cocktails though, just go for beer or cider. Happy hour; 4-7 pm and 9-closure
- JaySeptember 27, 2019Delicious chicken-less tikka masala (the soy curds works well as chicken sub). Not very fond of the kale “paneer” sag though. Very heavy on the salt & cumin. Still worth a try. And order lassi wo ice!
- Surrounded by other food shops, great location for meeting friends and everyone can grab what they want. Outdoor seating is especially nice in warm weather, as everyone can buy from different shops!
- H. Colbert (@hrsch)October 9, 2016Great low key happy hour, comes complete with a perfectly sassy Native Portlander behind the counter.
- Lane CollinsNovember 21, 2016Fantastic vegan Indian fusion (not traditional Indian). The peacock salad, black-eyed pea korma, and collard greens are faves.
- Nate CurrieJuly 26, 2018Not a vegetarian, so other than some of the apps, the menu doesn't have much appeal, BUT this is absolutely the place to come for tasty cocktails after you order tacos, meatballs or burgers next door.
- Brook ShelleyDecember 8, 2014Delicious vegan Indian food. Plates are full of variety and pretty filling. Really liked the cocktails too
- Margot GNovember 8, 2018Cute place with delicious vegan food! The chicken-less tikka madly is amazing!
- Lauren SperberSeptember 18, 2014The Kale Dosa Plate is incredible. A small was more than enough for me!
- Kyla SkerryMarch 3, 2014Happy hour is right: peacock salad, red lentil dosa, poori plate and a rum chai.
- Cason BangMarch 27, 2015Avoid the late night happy hour on weekdays. Food is good but the over-priced drinks won't make you forget you're here alone with two bartenders and a cook.
- The kofta plate + a Nanda Devi = best! Also be aware that the large plate is fucking enormous.
- Pavan KulkarniJuly 3, 2017They need to really sort out their ordering service . It took more than an hour for them to service few take out orders. Few were disgruntled and asked for their money back. The food was decent though
- Order a Beet Tequila cocktail with a vegan pakora plate!
