- Kumiko IMarch 6, 2014Feeling overwhelmed by the donut selection? The Cinnamon Sugar is a reliable classic.. but if you're feeling adventurous, try the Whiskey Bacon. Heck, try 'em all.
- Connie ChiuJune 29, 2018Earl grey donut is the best. Maple walnut was tasty too. Wish I got the milk and cereal donut...it looked real good. Hipster vibes and good amount of seating inside.
- Cory ZerkeeOctober 28, 2013Awesome donuts. $3 seems pricey for a donut.....until you actually taste one. Hand made with quality ingredients. The Bacon Whiskey donut is flat out amazing. I will be going back again, and again.
- Serious EatsDecember 9, 2013At Cartems Donuterie, it’s hard to choose just one donut, but consider the Maple Glaze, a yeast donut that’s not overly sweet, and buoyed by walnuts that are smoked and spiced on site.
- Kevin KlosDecember 11, 2014Homer Simpson would love this place! Get the donut with bacon on it. Bacon makes everything better. Walked there at night-disagree w/ WSJ comment that the street is "seedy". I felt safe.
- Katie OlfertFebruary 18, 2015Tried the blackberry filled donut and the mole donut. TO DIE FOR. The blackberry donut /looked/ super sweet (not much of a sweets fan here), but it was perfect. I can't wait to go back for more!
- minniemonSeptember 28, 2015maple walnut (studded with spicy walnuts smoked in-house), Earl Grey (with its sprinkling of rose petals), and bee sting (with Parmesan cheese, cracked pepper and honey glaze).
- Anna JorgensenSeptember 23, 2017The gluten free Honey Parmesan melts in yo mouth. I'm not allergic to gluten but wanted to try it and it was fab! Pillowy soft.
- A donut shop can be confusing when you have no sweet tooth. Fortunately, the honey Parmesan donut is just lightly sweet with a generous topping of cheese, just enough savouriness to balance it out.
- If they have any kind of stuffie, stop asking questions and just get it- you will not regret it! Key lime, London fog, coconut cream, etc. Hands down best donuts in Vancouver.
- Clau ArreguinMarch 25, 2017I simply love these donuts! You can't tell they're gluten free! Amazing! I really recommend this place!
- Celine T.October 28, 2018Carterms was featured in You Gotta Eat Here Season 5 Episode 22. We had the Earl Grey Donuts (as shown in the episode) and Salted Caramel.
- Linda JacksonJanuary 23, 2014I don't usually waste calories on donuts but someone from work brought a dozen of these in and well let's just say it wasn't a waste at all. So fresh and tasty. I'm hooked. Darn you Cartems!
- ChooroccaApril 29, 2015Smokey Maple Glazed Donut was delish, coffee was terrible. A $3 of Weaksauce. Wondering if the girl who made it even drinks coffee. Make sure you ask them to make your pour over coffee strong.
- Leo GonzalesMay 24, 2018Tried the pistachio mousse flavour—not bad. Though I would be much happier with the (all time favourite) London Fog.
- Mark McLaughlinJanuary 28, 2014Multiple varieties of gluten free donuts are available, including vanilla and salted caramel. Expensive but a real treat.
- The Wall Street JournalAugust 3, 2014It's on the seediest block in Vancouver, but they have amazing flavors and crazy mixtures, like bourbon-bacon. Read more
- Joe Murphy LibrarianJune 15, 2014Great vegan donuts available! Earl grey donut - Mexican mole ... Very impressive
- Billy TerrellNovember 18, 2018Excellent donuts and friendly service. Stop in during the morning before they sell out of the good stuff.
- Irina GushchinaNovember 8, 2013If you can't settle on your choice, go for earl grey or vegan earl grey.
- everything is good here - my current faves are pink lemonade, chocolate pudding and sweet snow.
- Bryan ClarkOctober 30, 2013All the donuts are awesome. Just ask for the flavour run down and get a box.
- Eva GeorgeApril 22, 2017Second time here. Apple fritter is still amazing, but the others I've tried just haven't measured up.
- Mike WalekeNovember 27, 2016The smoked walnut was amazing. Ask if something you are looking for isn't in the case.
- ChristianOctober 10, 2017Try a Honey Parmesan donut. Because Parmesan, that's why. Plus it's quite tasty tbh.
- Flavour HunterMarch 8, 2014The whiskey bacon, the early gray and the chocolate brownie were all fantastic!
- Ada JuristovskiOctober 22, 20142 UBC Sauder grads started this little gem - innovative, fresh, and DAMN DELICIOUS donuts.
- Go early in the day when the donuts are fresh and warm. And before they're all sold out!
- The West Pender location is closed forever as of 27 Nov 2023. The 2190 Main St location remains open.
- Eat LocalOctober 6, 2017Don’t trust the gluten free options. I have tried and got a bad reaction each time. They are good but way too sweet. The strawberry mint tea is good.
