- Linda MessingSeptember 21, 2013Great food, excellent service and loads of parking. And maybe the most uncomfortable chairs in town. You will owe your aching ass some fried chicken afterward, so maybe the chairs are evil genius.
- EaterJanuary 3, 2014Lucy's Fried Chicken is bringing the fried goodness to North Austin. The opening coincides with a menu expansion including items like "fried chicken nachos" and "chicken spaghetti."
- Josh AOctober 7, 2015Wow! Go family style. Get some chicken, get some oysters, grab a couple sides, wash down with Texas beers. Finish with a slice of pie. Great way to try lots of flavored.
- Come for the fried chicken, stay for the Mezcal buzz. Looking to lose weight? Oh man, this is your place! Low fat everything! #lackofbloodflow
- Rockell TobiasJanuary 10, 2016Mac n cheese / Fried chicken was scrumptious. Oysters were oooookkkay and nachos were bland, but overall an excellent meal!
- Ende TempletonJuly 10, 2014This was a first for the wife and i. Go hungry or be ready to take home leftovers. Well worth the trip. The fried chicken reminded me of moms.
- AmandaOctober 28, 2014Generous portions of deliciousness. Best fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. Their batter makes anything here da bomb diggity.
- SheilaOctober 9, 2016I ordered the four piece fried chicken basket. Chicken is crunchy and more flavorful here than most places. Sweet tea pie is pretty good. Regret not coming here sooner.
- David KerbowOctober 13, 2013Great fried chicken. No kids menu, but you can order a grilled cheese or chicken pieces ala carte for the kids. Deviled eggs are so-so, but the desserts are amazing.
- Good fries. Very good chicken. Excellent banana pudding. Get the vegetable plate as a big, healthy, shareable side.
- Mickey MannSeptember 21, 2013Try to get a table with bench seats -- the little chairs are miserable. Food is really good esp the fried chicken nachos and banana pudding.
- Manzoor FaridNovember 12, 2016Tried both the fried chicken and tenders. Both excellent! Potato salad was also quality.
- Jon EtkinsOctober 27, 2013Proof that South Austin hipsters will eat anything. Should stay in their comfort zone - it Pales in comparison to other choices in this neck of the woods.
- James ColungaSeptember 24, 2013Slightly better parking than the one south, but beware the spot that is right in front of the sign. You will hit it backing out as it is in your blind spot.
- blaine d.February 28, 2015No shortage of 4square complaints to read about while you're here, but I thought the chicken was great.
- Sofie LeonSeptember 14, 2013Way more parking here than @ the south location. Bucket of chicken is so good. And the banana pudding for dessert is amazing.
- Dennis VaughnJuly 3, 2014Good hot and fresh chicken basket. Mexican coke sweet potatoes were tasty too very nice staff. Oh and use benches.
- Get the fried chicken nachos, and try to get some pickled veg and some guac in every bite. Awesome.
- Chad GoddardSeptember 23, 2013Food & service are not near as good as the original location - which is great! I hope they step their game up.
- Sean DayApril 23, 2015Grab some friends and get a bucket of chicken, some mac & cheese and a couple of beers.
- Ricardo GonzalesApril 26, 2014This very good Fried Chicken and very Austin. It's a must for locals. Read more
- Brunch. Chicken and Waffles with bacon marmalade. Watermelon margarita.
- ChameleahDecember 19, 2013The little chairs are terrible. I kept sliding out and felt like it was torture to balance on two butt bones, but the food was worth it. I hope the Burn-It Bowl becomes a regular menu item.
- The brunch mimosa carafe is more expensive than getting them individually. $3/per glass or $13/3and a half.
- Linda SwensenFebruary 22, 2014The vibe is so cool here. - oh and they serve chicken! This is so Austin !
- NadineJanuary 2, 2014The benches are miserable too. Great chicken but I guess they had no budget for comfy chairs.
- Austin ChronicleFebruary 10, 2014This second spot is bigger and brighter than the SoCo sibling and includes a larger kitchen. The food is the same, which is to say, outstanding. So much fried deliciousness.
- Brandon MitchellSeptember 15, 2013They just opened. Give them a couple of days to get things running like the old Lucy's.
- KitjerOctober 27, 2013Mediocre. Bland chicken, no seasoning, barely above room temp. Limp greens, not cooked down enough and bitter, boring sweet potatoes with little flavor. Rubbery cornbread muffins. very disappointing.
