Great food, excellent service and loads of parking. And maybe the most uncomfortable chairs in town. You will owe your aching ass some fried chicken afterward, so maybe the chairs are evil genius.

Lucy's Fried Chicken is bringing the fried goodness to North Austin. The opening coincides with a menu expansion including items like "fried chicken nachos" and "chicken spaghetti."

Wow! Go family style. Get some chicken, get some oysters, grab a couple sides, wash down with Texas beers. Finish with a slice of pie. Great way to try lots of flavored.

Come for the fried chicken, stay for the Mezcal buzz. Looking to lose weight? Oh man, this is your place! Low fat everything! #lackofbloodflow

Mac n cheese / Fried chicken was scrumptious. Oysters were oooookkkay and nachos were bland, but overall an excellent meal!

This was a first for the wife and i. Go hungry or be ready to take home leftovers. Well worth the trip. The fried chicken reminded me of moms.

Generous portions of deliciousness. Best fried green tomatoes and fried chicken. Their batter makes anything here da bomb diggity.

I ordered the four piece fried chicken basket. Chicken is crunchy and more flavorful here than most places. Sweet tea pie is pretty good. Regret not coming here sooner.

Great fried chicken. No kids menu, but you can order a grilled cheese or chicken pieces ala carte for the kids. Deviled eggs are so-so, but the desserts are amazing.

Good fries. Very good chicken. Excellent banana pudding. Get the vegetable plate as a big, healthy, shareable side.

Try to get a table with bench seats -- the little chairs are miserable. Food is really good esp the fried chicken nachos and banana pudding.

Proof that South Austin hipsters will eat anything. Should stay in their comfort zone - it Pales in comparison to other choices in this neck of the woods.

Slightly better parking than the one south, but beware the spot that is right in front of the sign. You will hit it backing out as it is in your blind spot.

No shortage of 4square complaints to read about while you're here, but I thought the chicken was great.

Way more parking here than @ the south location. Bucket of chicken is so good. And the banana pudding for dessert is amazing.

The little chairs are terrible. I kept sliding out and felt like it was torture to balance on two butt bones, but the food was worth it. I hope the Burn-It Bowl becomes a regular menu item.

The brunch mimosa carafe is more expensive than getting them individually. $3/per glass or $13/3and a half.

This second spot is bigger and brighter than the SoCo sibling and includes a larger kitchen. The food is the same, which is to say, outstanding. So much fried deliciousness.

Mediocre. Bland chicken, no seasoning, barely above room temp. Limp greens, not cooked down enough and bitter, boring sweet potatoes with little flavor. Rubbery cornbread muffins. very disappointing.
