I'm a skeptic until my first by and HOLY 💩 is the pasta awesome here. Best dish I've ever had...get the Carbonara and you'll be fulfilled in your pasta life ☑️

Easily the best Italian food that you will taste in Portland and possibly anywhere else. Go for the Rigatoni Pork Ragu. Please. Also loved the Carbonara, Squid Ink & Pesto dishes. -London 13yr

Gigantic and cheap bowls of handmade pasta without pretension. Always try the Chicken Radiatore, which is an updated chicken cacciatore, complete with crispy chicken skin adornments.

Easily the best pasta I’ve had outside of Europe. I love the carbonara and the ragu, but you can’t go wrong. Grab a beer from the bar next door or Lardo via the interconnected passages.

Lardo and Grassa share the same kitchen, but they really share nothing else in common. Best pasta dishes you could ask for, well-priced cocktails and a collection of record albums to die for.

Order at least one dish per person, then ask for a couple plates and share the delicious bounty. It's a great way to try multiple dishes, since picking just one is really, really hard!

The best pasta in Portland by far. Rivals some of the best pasta I've had in Italy. The Aglio e Olio is to die for

Came in for lunch and the bright space is beautifully lit. Grilled chicken piccata was light and the meat, tender, with some crispy skin to add some crunch to the clean dish.

Squid Ink pasta was amazing as was the Carbonara. Italian "margarita" was tart and refreshing. The shaved zucchini was a nice light ap. Open table seating with some facing kitchen and three booths.

Please do yourself a favor and start with the Porkbelly Mac n' Cheese everything is excellent but you need to try possibly the best version of this classic.

Changes the nature of pasta in Portland. Like a small, family Florentine restaurant, but in an updated Portland space. Tried three pastas and three apps - all were spectacular!

One of my favorite spots for pasta downtown. Cool spot with a variety of pasta dishes that will fill you up. Also, get garlic bread.

Tonarelli with sand dabs is delightfully light and flavorful. Salsa verde rocks it! Spinning vintage albums makes atmosphere lively and unique.

Cacio e pepe is oily, salty, and one-note in flavor. At least the dish looks pretty... Spaghetti 'aglio olio' is extremely garlicky and reminds one of leftover ramen.
