- Single diners take heart and don't let a long queue intimidate you. You will get seated early when they find out you're alone. Just be ready to take a communal table or bar seat.
- CONBENIENCE WITCHApril 12, 2013Exquisite service and the Akamaru Ramen is to die for! If you don't feel like noodles, then try the Wagyu steak! It's super juicy and melts in your mouth... Absolutely divine!Upvoted Jan 4
- Shruti RaiFebruary 3, 2013Definitely one of the best pork buns I have eaten around Sydney. The gyozas on the other hand are another story. Had to use the microscope to find it. ;) the Ramen no. 6 was very nice.
- R MoJanuary 6, 2015Ramen: the soup is rich, the best I've ever tasted, noodle has great texture. Gyoza: Thin paste, juicy fillings. Pun: Yet to try.
- Rewan PartiJanuary 16, 2017Not as good as other ippudo across the world. They have a vegetarian ramen which is delicious. Have the pork gyoza along with the sesame cucumbers. Order the akamuri ramen.
- Daphne GoonOctober 14, 2015The recommended dish. Forgot the name of the dish but it's quite a huge portion. Abt $24. If you r very hungry, this will be good
- James FergusonJune 21, 2021Great ramen. Arrive early to avoid queues and to secure your own private table. Otherwise you might end up sharing a table Japanese style with others.
- ShirpsAugust 29, 2014Order any version of the Akamaru ramen. The tonkotsu broth (pork bone) has great depth of flavour. It isn't a visit to Ippudo without ordering a pork bun!
- JH H-DJune 19, 2016Yum yum yum. So good!! Always busy, so be patient about getting a table. Worth the wait!!
- Stephen WeberJanuary 5, 2014If you're looking for a quiet dining experience, you've come to the wrong place. There's plenty of shouting from the staff (in Japanese!) and a wait isn't uncommon. Go for the experience ;)
- Cedric TanAugust 14, 2014Really like the gyoza and tonkotsu ramen. Very importantly, the service was fantastic. Staff were clearly enjoying their work and the positivity rubs off on you.
- John WetenhallFebruary 26, 2015Pork buns are delicious. Ramen is fantastic although gumshara is my favorite in sydney.
- Kit&kafoodleJuly 31, 2015Good tasty ramen with beautifully cooked pork. The buns aren't too bad either, but the pork was a bit dry though the prawn was better with sriracha Mayo. Can get the same quality in Melbourne.
- Akamaru ramen with extra mushrooms and seaweed is the top choice. Don't forget about the Hakata style gyozas and the one of a kind, pork bun.
- Katarzyna WojnickaOctober 13, 2018Amazing ramen, great atmosphere and friendly staff. All you need for perfect lunch!
- Nick FongDecember 7, 2012Service was impeccable, but I've been spoilt by Sydney's other ramen offerings. Prices start at $17 for a no-frills bowl, up to $19 for egg and $21 for chashu (no egg!) Try the akamaru ramen.
- Nicole HoustonSeptember 14, 2013Excellent service, arrived at 11 on the dot and place was already half full. Might be a struggle to get a seat if you have a group of 3 or more during busy times.
- Michael LagonJune 22, 2017The Autumn special Yokohama E.A.K. ramen was pretty good. Still have that medium thick pork broth. Try with the spicy leek for that tiny onion kick
- The tonkotsu broth base in all the soups is fantastic, not salty or heavy like some others. The extra hard noodle is my suggestion as well as the pan fried gyoza. Expensive but what isn't in Sydney.
- Cliff IngsMay 11, 2019Incredible ramen (seriously the broth is on another level) and delicious sake too, absolutely a must try!
- The ramen is awesome! Get the special combination of you're very hungry.
- Black & Spicy ramen taste great. The Pork bin is also great companion while waiting for the main course to be served.
- James CubbonMarch 9, 2013Best ramen in Sydney, and I know what I'm talking about. The pork buns are nice, but not life changing, so don't get your hopes up.
- Kristian LamMay 30, 2017The Ippudo buns are great. Don't forget to order the pork belly and crispy chicken ones.
- Chung HoOctober 15, 2014Black garlic ramen is great - noodles are a bit different to normal ramen noodles though. Also pork buns are pretty good.
- Mario BaylonMarch 21, 2014Anything ramen... been going thru their menu every visit... if there's a special seasonal menu go for it!
- Cindy CaiOctober 27, 2015Good ramen (price is somewhat justified by good service and toppings) and great pork buns. Shrimp bun not that great though.
- So excited Sydney has an Ipuddo!!! But please please please add Bakudan spicy paste as an optional topping like the NYC Ippudo!!
- Harvey AngApril 22, 2014The best pork bun and ramen by far. You wont go wrong with the original broth or the miso
- Tonkotsu soup that is really creamy and tasty. Only few places in Sydney has this style.
- JacquesAugust 31, 2014Service excellent. Pork bun was soft & tasty. Pork was fresh but broth was overrated. Great setting with kitchen open to view.
- Pan fried gyoza was great (get 1 per person!). I had the #9 "Spicy Miso w/ pork belly" really great!!
- Everything is great apart from the flavoured egg - it's always overcooked for my liking
- Fantastic fast service. A little pricey but most certainly worth it! Great bar like casual atmosphere.
- Davina AnthonyAugust 5, 2015Pork buns are fantastic. This place is just as good if not better than Ippudo NYC
- Pork buns, ramen always great and keep an eye out for specials. Oh and Robot Ninja beer.
- Jing ZengDecember 3, 2014They have take away menu at off peak hours, ramen is $10 and pork bun is $3.
- try the new tonkotsu bonito ramen. delicious combination of pork and fish broth.
- Pleasant ramen... Thin and soft.. Yummy pork buns and cocktails needs a bit of work
- Dmitry StarkeyNovember 4, 2015Pricy though good. Another good ramen is Kura whose black tonkotsu beats all of them
- Pork buns are yum but if you're looking for traditional Japanese ramen, don't go here.
- Stephen GarrettJune 5, 2018Good service and food, reasonable prices. Gets crowded so expect to queue.
