Lord ha’ mercy, it’s good chicken, y’all. Worth waiting in line! I got the medium which suited my tastes perfectly — spicy, but still flavorful and not painful. Also loved the black eyed pea salad!

Prepare for the wait of your life but some of the BEST fried chicken. I recommend the large dark meat platter with 2 sides. Collards and mac n cheese are killer. Cleanse your palette with a local IPA!

This stalwart takes Nashville's famed hot chicken and does it right. Heat ranges from 'mild' to 'shut the cluck up,' plus a roster of southern sides, beer on tap, and Sunday brunch. [Eater 18 Member]

Holy hot chicken. Mild is a bit spicy, if you are feeling rebellious go for the medium. The Pimento mac&cheese, potato salad, greens and black eyed pea salad should seriously already be on your tray.

The chicken is so succulent. You can get white, dark, or tenders in a range of flavors. For some real heat you have to go with the "Damn Hot" though. The pimento Mac and cheese is highly recommended

"Mild" was enough for me, and anyone who likes a touch of spice. Also note, Small White, Breast and Wing, I expected these to come separate, not one piece. Delicious though, worth the lineup wait!

A Nashville must! If you like spicy, I promise the hot is enough. The black eyed pea salad is great- vinegar-heavy but refreshing! And the crinkle fries are bomb. Can't go wrong here!

A word on heat: if you consider Tabasco spicy, aim low. If scorpion peppers and ghost peppers are your fare, however, aim high. The "shut the cluck up" has an amazing and powerful burn!

Their hot chicken is my favorite in Nashville! Prince’s is a classic but it’s too painful to even enjoy, Hattie B’s on the other hand has the heat but also has a great taste!

It's worth the wait. The fried tenders at any spice are amazing. Potato salad, cole slaw and mac n cheese are great. Shut the Cluck Up spice is no joke, it's wicked hot.

Amazing fried chicken! Medium spicy was just right, could’ve gone a little spicier. The skin is crispy and the dark meat is juicy (much better than the white meat). Great beans and Mac n cheese.

I wasn't sure what level of spiciness I would be comfortable with; we got one tender each of mild, medium, and hot and decided that Hot was the perfect amount of heat!

Hot chicken sandwich = amazing! French fries were perfectly seasoned. Didn't like mac n chz. Long line outside but worth the wait. They have beer too! Friendly staff as well.

As someone who enjoys spicy food… do not underestimate the spice here. You'll think the Shut the Cluck Up is okay until you're 4 bites in and your body delivers the adrenaline rush as painkiller.

The best ways to cool down after the heat of the wings: a local beer from Jackalope Brewing Co., and creamy bacon-studded red skin potato salad with scallions and pimento mac 'n' cheese. Read more

The chicken sandwich is phenomenal, I would go for “hot” cause the slaw cools it down. You also can’t go wrong with the Mac and cheese as a side.

Can't say this is the best chicken spot in Nashville cause it's the only one I've been too, but I now believe Nashville hot chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had. No joke. Good sides too

Hands down my favorite meal in Nashville. The Pimento Mac & Cheese is amazing, fries are great. Always get the tenders and a half sweet half unsweet tea. Take some for later. You'll be craving it!

Medium is pretty spicy. Anywhere else, the mild would be considered medium. I can vouch for the tenders, the mac&cheese, and the beans. All were excellent, but you might feel sluggish after the meal

Medium is the perfect order if you can handle a decent level of spice (lookin' at my Indian/Asian people). Everything here is worth the wait. Get the pimento mac n' cheese.

All of the ab workouts I've been working on for 6 months disappeared while eating a 1/2 bird. I hate/love you Hattie B's so much. I'll never look at fried chicken the same ever again. Thank you.

The best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had hands down. The people know what’s up, so there is a line exiting the building. Prime time might be tough.

Had the "Mild"... great flavor with a little heat....will try the medium next as I work my way up the heat scale. Mac & Cheese was delish & loved the crunchy pickles! Long lines but moves fast!

All of you people talking about how shut the cluck up and damn hot aren't as spicy or hot as other places in town are full of shit! I love hot and eat Thai hot curry all the time, and this is hot.

Great flavor to go with a mild heat. They're no where near the spiciest in town, but impressive taste nonetheless. If you like heat, go all the way, completely doable. The best new Hot Chicken place!

This is the spot for fiery, cayenne-infused, Nashville-style deep-fried “hot chicken.” Cool your palate with a craft beer and pimento mac-and-cheese. More places to eat like a local: tandl.me/12ufz7c

Damn hot chicken - as advertised. Very hot but edible. Chicken is so good that merely "hot" might be the better route, letting the flavor come through more. Mac and cheese was great. Fries were good.
