If you are a salmon lover, get the salmon. Absolutely amazing. I always regret not getting it. Be sure to make a reservation, even if you plan to sit at the bar!

Always the best French casual bistro. The burger and baked Camembert are to die for. Go there late on Saturday nights.

Chez Maman (either location) is the best. Definitely two of my favorite places to be in SF, or the world. The service is casual yet impeccable. The mussels, especially the Poulette, are heart-melting.

I live the Moules Poulette with cream, shallots, bacon and parsley! They are as good as in Belgium! A little French restaurant in the middle of a super trendy neighborhood 😊

If you're not getting the mussels here, you're doing it wrong. Get the Thai Lemongrass sauce and you'll be licking your fingers well after the fries are all gone.

Go with a group of three if you can. Get the French onion soup, steak tartar, mac and cheese, pork chop and mussels. Share everything, family style. Delicious and the perfect amount of food.

So good. Starting with the basic bread and butter through to the French onion soup, burger (+goat cheese & avocado), and Nutella-banana crepe. A Hayes favorite.

Our dinner was perfect, from the Escargot, to the delightful Mac & Cheese, and the perfectly grilled salmon with Brussels sprouts. Will come back to try other items.

Service - ok. Wine - really bad. Food - not great. The French onion soup was more cheese than soup - a big glob of rubbery cheese makes up half the dish. The soup underneath was nice.

Meh not worth the $$. Both the regular and veggie burger are more like sandwiches and forgettable. One good thing though is that you can call ahead to be put on the waitlist.
