- Mela MelNovember 1, 2015Nice & very quirky pub, good service and nice staff. Sunday roast is good but to be honest anyone could cook the same at home. I don't agree with the 9.4 rating. Lots of yuppies, family and singletons
- If you're not a rugby/football lover, avoid the back as it has a huge TV there and it's usually packed! Appart from that, great music and beer, + a terrace at the back :)
- Jessica AnsaldiSeptember 22, 2016Good for groups. Large and spacious. Nice mix of people. Informal service. Roast is well priced although not as filling as other places. Don't go really hungry
- New bar frequented by EastTrenders and N16 overspill -- great atmosphere, friendly crowd and nice staff. Check out the ale selection. Garden and kitchen opening soon.
- Patrick SmithJuly 5, 2012Pembury Tavern has - for the first time in years - genuine competition for best pub in the neighbourhood. Great beers, lovely interiors, good food menu.
- Very spacious with a beer garden and dog friendly. Do a superb Bloody Mary and it's reasonably priced too at £4.50.
- Alex GibsonMarch 26, 2018Sensational roast (very quick service) and a great selection of ales. The Kapow pale ale was a highlight.
- Best pub in E5. Good beer, decent food, great music, nice staff. Have been coming since the day it opened.
- Pros: Nice ales, foosball table, Keira Knightley came here onceCons: can be a long bar queue, New potatoes with the roasts
- Yiota PapApril 17, 2017Good food and nice atmosphere. It also has a back garden for the warm and sunny days 😊
- Great selection of craft beers 🍻🍻🍺 Delicious Sunday roast with vegetarian and vegan options 🍴
- The food is hit or miss and so is the service. Beef sirloin roast was dry and not impressive. Friends said chicken was really dry. Pork belly looked like the best choice. Halloumi fries is 👍🏽
- Thomas ParisotSeptember 23, 2016The beer garden is awesome and the interior is really neat and charming.
- Biiiiig pub with plenty of room for kids to roam. Plus a sunny garden if that's what you need. Nice beer, average food...
- David LovettAugust 6, 2017Good selection of craft beers and a nice layout with lots of seating alcoves
- Cracking roasts. Nice drinks and ale selection, and they've got a decent Foosball table. Got it all.
- Jeff LucasJune 7, 2012I have been waiting for a pub like this since we moved here. Fantastic place with great staff.
- hello_emilyApril 3, 2015Lovely pub. Do NOT order the daikon salad. Beyond terrible. Whitebait & sweet potato fries were lovely though.
- Virginia BindiApril 25, 2016Very good food, beers and environment although the service could be improved.
- Great new pub for Clapton , real ale , cider, wine , and food soon .
- David John SimpsonDecember 17, 2013Great bar but shame about the rude barman (Joao - guy with a tash). You're better waiting for another member of staff if you want to stay calm!
- Mike StenhouseJune 30, 2012Bit of a gem... Looks amazing, staff are friendly, good selection of beer.
- "well-done meat according to FSA standards" - is that even a thing? My steak tastes like charcoal. The décor is amazing but I will never order food again, gross
- Tadhg McCarthyApril 1, 2018Fun pub at night. No way a 9 for food. More like 7. Sunday roast is pretty average.

- Tim CowlishawApril 26, 2014a great pub, but avoid it on Saturday afternoons, when it turns into a fucking creche for the worst sort of yuppie Hackney parents.
- Food isn't of a good quality. Fish and chips today should be top notch considering the simplicity. Burnt, very greasy battered fish. When asked how was it the responce was rude and arrogant. Avoid.
