- Nicole FranzenJanuary 15, 20172 hour wait on a Saturday night, ended up being worth it. Amazing steak, chorizo, crispy potatoes with horseradish, chimichurrri, we sat at the bar near the grill, loved it.
- EaterJanuary 21, 2013Though meat hitting the grill is the main focus, both veggies and seafood represent well in homey dishes like hominy stew and braised octopus. [Eater Member 38]
- Jeff WeinsteinAugust 9, 2014Skirt steak, fish, and mushrooms with liver. Sit at the bar or near the fire. A little expensive but very good. They have some kinda special red wine they make or source or whatever that's real good.
- Rory ParnessAugust 8, 2015Sit at the grill for front row view of the action. Fried Terrine, Skirt Steak (a touch above medium rare), artichoke and blistered peppers. Cake and you are done.
- Shelby MooreJune 21, 2014Ways to spend a 2-hr wait? They do the brainstorming for you: grab a seat next to a stack of firewood at WheyBar for elite Portland cocktails. Once you're inside, ask what's coming off the wood grill.
- Emily HansonOctober 26, 2015Excellent: Stardust (whiskey cocktail), La Yapa (another whiskey cocktail), both types of empanadas, ribeye steak, Brussels sprouts, tres leches cake. Okay: chorizo, hominy.
- Karen HJune 10, 2017Everything is amazing, high quality beautifully prepared. Nice atmosphere, excellent service. It is very apparent that the Denton's deserve those awards and accolades
- Marcie TranMay 27, 2016Clam chowder is worth the hype. If you're a small party, you might be able to get a seat at the bar and avoid the longer wait
- Everyone will recommend the Asado Argentino, but also be sure to start with a cheese board, and end with a Rabid Mastiff. Quite possibly the best restaurant in Portland.
- Maggie C.September 9, 2013Clam chowder and skirt steak is phenomenal. But for the real foodies, start with the grilled lamb heart with arugula. Yum.
- Top 5 restaurant. Chowder is unreal. The simple skirt steak couldn't be more flavorful. Side of mushrooms and ricotta has been amazing. Too small a restaurant sometimes and grill smell lingers.
- Yes, it's an Argentine steakhouse but oysters and the halibut (served seasonally) are worth sacrificing a night of beef for.
- Andrew LeeAugust 23, 2017The ribeye was incredible. The bone marrow chowder was a wonderful adventure. Everything was really delicious. This place is really special.
- Kate SchrinskyDecember 27, 2013amazing brussels sprouts and spaghetti squash - this place is not just for meat eaters!! cocktails are delish also, well made and great bartenders.

- Varun ThotaApril 11, 2013Definitely can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And if there's a long wait, the bar next door, same owner has some quality drinks. Also don't forget that amazing sorbet dessert.
- Kemp MullaneyOctober 27, 2015GREAT food. Grab a drink and some oysters at the bar in the back while you wait for your table.
- Mike WalekeJuly 20, 2016Everything was pretty great. If you order the ox terrine make sure you have a bite of the terrine before the frozen peas.
- FrozendonutApril 18, 2014Skip the Asado Argentino and just order the best meat on it: the skirt steak. (If you get the asado anyway they will do some substitutions.)

- Allyson CaseyFebruary 2, 2013If you are sensitive to grill smoke it's not great. Get the 5 Seafood Preparations. Absolutely FANTASTIC !!! Don't get the shirt ribs unless you like mouthfuls of fat. Great service.
- Jeff WheelerAugust 8, 2014One of the best meals I've ever had. Their smoked marrow clam crowder and skirt steak. Wow.

- Ashley RoseDecember 8, 2018Service was slow but the food was good. Mushroom and Foie gras side stoke the show, skirt steak was tender.
- Just order cake. Don't skip dessert. Seriously, you have to order cake. I don't care if you hate cake. Order it.
