- Nice place for a Sunday brunch! Interesting decor and good, affordable menu options. Make a reservation on OpenTable to avoid waiting.
- This place has amazing food and even more amazing service. Ask for Colleen. She'll answer any questions you have about the swanky and cool atmosphere that is 5 Church and make you feel right at home!
- Scott KroteeNovember 5, 2017Unique spot! Breakfast was great! The entire "Art of War" is painted on the ceiling. The French toast hit the spot and the coffee was served perfectly.
- Creative Loafing CharlotteAugust 4, 2013Chef Jamie Lynch makes use of local ingredients and puts a creative twist on any dish. (Try the NC Grouper.) The spot is perfect to enjoy a drink (we recommend QC Iced Tea) before hitting the clubs.
- Imani AllenDecember 15, 2013I loved the wasabi crusted salmon. The waiters were very welcoming and confident in the restaurant and they even honored 10% for my Lover and I anniversary. Great food, great service! Will b back!
- Hip and chic uptown spot, with Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" hand-painted on the ceiling. Happy-hour here is one of Charlotte's best see and be seen bars.
- Anil ChittimallaAugust 22, 2014Awesome place... chicken burger with fries on the lunch menu for $10. Ambience was awesome and the lady at the front desk too. They have printed war book first thirteen chapters on the ceiling.
- Lamb burger is a no brainer for first timers. The entire book "The Art of War" is hand painted on the ceiling. Brunch has bottomless sangria. Helen Schwab names their fries "best in town"
- Alyx HeartcoreApril 24, 2013Great, helpful service. Some worthwhile items to try are the pork belly, kale risotto, and black bean hummus dip. Don't forget to order the S'mores Triffle for dessert.
- The "60-Second" steak is an awesome meal. Don't feel ashamed going for the lobster mac & cheese either! 5 Church is a 'once in a while' treat that is well worth the price!
- Amy UDecember 27, 2012Lobster mac and cheese...its not good, its incredible! It's the lobster MAC daddy of all side dishes! Thanks Emily Maynard for tweeting about this place!!!!! We couldn't help but try it out!

- Ariel CasaliAugust 2, 2013Concise but very good wine selection. I tried one of the best from Valle de Uco in Argentina. Luca!
- Ash HamiltonMay 27, 2016Went for queen's feast and got the mushroom bone marrow, which is a baked mushroom dish that looks like a piece of bone. Very yum. Panna cotta is gross tho--get a chocolate dessert.
- Alejandra 🌻February 10, 2016Try the bourberry cocktail and the s'mores triffle. Delicious. Service can be kinda slow and it gets crowded but overall delicious food.
- A great Uptown brunch spot on the weekends. I love the crab cakes and poached eggs, accompanied by bottomless mimosas.

- Stop in for a Viper, a perfect concoction of Patron, cayenne, cucumber water, lime, and orange.
- Creative Loafing CharlotteAugust 3, 2014Desserts are a strong finish if you skip the S'mores. Like the rest of the menu, these dishes are American-inspired with French culinary finesse. Read more

- Crystal SaundersJune 30, 2012Try the pork belly snack. The duck mole would have been good if the breast had been crisp like duck should. Lobster macnchz has the taste of lobster but 3 dime pieces in the whole side is poor value.
- Connor RankinDecember 8, 2014Everything! Hanger Steak & Gnocchi were stars of the night! Desserts on point too!
- Sheila KristineJuly 14, 2013The decor is this place is incredible and to top it all off, "The Art of War" is hand painted on the ceiling!!!

- Lauren CecilDecember 14, 2012Steak was so-so, but try the flounder with the potato chowder and fried oysters. Delicious!
- JoeNovember 9, 2012The pork belly things are like the god of fried food spooging in your mouth with a facial fried food greasy cumshot. In your mouth. Except pick of the fatty parts. Seriously. The fat sucks b hole
- Lamb burger awesome. The special sauce too heavy on the cumin though
