- Tobias OttahalAugust 2, 2014Love this place! The wide and I went here at our honeymoon for both lunch and dinner. We're not disappointed. Try the Duck Breast on lettuce for lunch, or the Lamb Stew for dinner!
- nils jansonAugust 29, 2017Very good eggs benedict. This place is a little weird - they have healthy brunch options and fondue for dinner - but it's a nice and relaxed change of pace from the rest of the island restaurants.
- Emma LeeApril 14, 2013Amazing latte, friendly owners and incredible food. Weekends are busy but on a weekday afternoon you can sit upstairs with a coffee and wi-fi and watch the ocean across the street. Rotating exhibits.
- LBMay 10, 2015Cannot recommend enough! You might be steered towards kountry kitchen for breakfast but this place is the best! Authentic French bakery and Italian coffee within a stones throw of the beach
- Best coffee and breakfast in all of Hawaii! Nice music and photos too. Be sure to try the hot croissant with ham and Old Amsterdam cheese with their homemade honey mustard mayonaise - or anything else
- Luke MayesMarch 12, 2018Great atmosphere. Great service. Lots of good food. This was our go-to breakfast spot. Not the best food on the island, but always a joy to spend time at.
- Christian LanngDecember 26, 2015Best breakfast in all of Hawaii, get the quiche and the Riesling. Don't stress over service or speed good things take time
- L K HAugust 25, 2014Food was great for breakfast although the timing was a little off. It was sweltering in there. Latte was amazing as was the croissant. Tried to go for dinner but they had a full house unfortunately.
- Alejandro HernandezMay 16, 2015Wow amazing food and coffees, a really different and original flavor. We ate croissant and a breakfast organic and gluten free plate named True a first light
- ShaynaOctober 24, 2012Excellent coffee, esp. lattes and iced coffee. Parking is difficult, seems only like street parking and you'll probably have to cross the highway to get here.
- China LiSeptember 10, 2014The most delicious food in Kapaa! You can never go wrong with choosing Hemingways!
- JoyceAugust 24, 2012get there early for their famous quiche! i had one on my first morning on the island, today i'm leaving and hoping to have one the last time, and it's all gone before 10am!
- Mandar PathakNovember 29, 2014The croissants are delicious. The portobello quiche is awesome. The crepes, divine.
- Evgeniya PlotnikovaJanuary 2, 2015Old man and the sea was a delicious choice for breakfast , portions are a bit small though. Great interior set up!
- Courtney JoyMay 2, 2012Amazing food. Super friendly owners. Chill vibe. Best Latte I've ever had. i would be a regular if I lived here. (also Gallery upstairs!)
- Terence MascarenhasAugust 30, 2014Quiche is to die for. Fresh croissants for the breakfast sandwiches. Can't go wrong.
- If you have a toddler, be sure to grab the tub of toy cars from under the inside bench. Enough entertainment for the entire meal.
- Quiche to die for I had to get another!! Going back for sure! Made my day good price points too.! See ya
- Tricia WhiteOctober 3, 2012Bruschetta (tomato, mozzarella, basil), mushroom and pancetta salad with a glass of ginger lemonade, AMAZING!

- Johnathon GiarmoJuly 6, 2016The Sun Also Rises is a fantastic breakfast. Very well balanced and delicious.
- Sativa VerteNovember 23, 2012They have a gluten free option quiche. This spot is good for breakfast, skip the country kitchen next door.
- Get a bomb, double espresso with condensed milk. Simple, but delicious and potent.
- Marcus MarquezJanuary 3, 2013Cash only.. Espresso Drinks only (no drip coffee) .. No non-fat Milk only 2%.... Nice place ; could be anywhere coffee and breakfast shop.
- deborah coleAugust 8, 2021Awesome food, but COVID killed this wonderful little restaurant - it is permanently closed :(
- Mandar PathakDecember 6, 2014This place is no longer cash-only. They do accept credit cards now, thanks to Square :)
- Eva MarievilleJune 28, 2012The perfect stop for a pick-me-up. Delicate and delicious food and delightful coffee! You must come here!
- AndréJanuary 7, 2015Nice tasty food, but very small portions. And service could be better, food doesn't come in the order you've asked, or even gets forgotten, there is no waiting list and nobody seats you.
- Don (wilytongue) Shandor JRJanuary 12, 2013Not what I expected, thought it was more like a restaurant or bar, but it is a little sandwich shop. Food looks good even though I didn't eat here
